Description

Spend your days outdoors in crisp Alaska air, feasting on coho salmon caught fresh from the glacier-fed streams, or snacking on berries picked right off the bush. Sounds good, right? North Young Lake Cabin sits about 50 feet from the water, under an old-growth forest on the northern tip of Admiralty Island. Launch the skiff with oars you’ll find at the cabin into the cool lake waters. Or head out on one of the primitive trails into the forest. The Admiralty Cove Young Lake trailhead leads to Admiralty cabin and cove, 4.5 miles away. The trail can be quite strenuous when rainy and wet, so be prepared!
