The T-Rex cabin is a one room 12'x20' cabin located three miles off the Sterling Highway, on 240 acres owned by Alaska Land Barons, LLC. The cabin has electricity but no running water. There is a shower house located within a hundred yards of the cabin that has four separate, private showers and bathrooms. No charge for hot water in the showers. Bedding and towels are provided.
Note: Because these cabins are off-grid, power is provided via solar panels or generators. This generally works fine; however, we don't recommend running medical equipment, such as C-PAC machines, on the cabin's electric supply.
There is a small, private library near the cabin that guests are welcome to borrow books from. This library consists of a collection of books about Alaska and stories about Alaska's past.
The T-Rex cabin's name comes from a scaled down replica of a T-Rex skull (scanned from a South Dakota T-Rex named Sue) hanging on the outside of the cabin. The inside is also decorated with pictures and fossil replicas of other dinosaurs, including a Velociraptor.
