Sadly, due to family circumstances, we are not accepting bookings at this time. We hope to again in the near future. The land at East West Farm has been a working farm since the mid 19th century. When we bought it, the farming had ceased about 20 years before and so we re-established a small diverse family farm that was once common all over the country. Learn more about this land: Nestled in a valley of Alabama's own Appalachians, we have much to offer here on the farm and nearby. Bring your fishing gear, hiking boots, and backpack! Our two acre lake is full of fish you can spend the day fishing for (bass, bream, & crappie), rent our kayak and fish from it. Explore our pastures, enjoy the views of surrounding hilltops, hang a hammock by the creek and let the babbling waters sing you to sleep or try your hand at stacking and balancing creekstones! You can also get a taste of farm life as well. Gather eggs laid by our chickens, taste our creamy Jersey milk, enjoy a breakfast of sausage from our own pigs.Want even more adventure? We are just a few miles from the Chief Ladiga Bike Path that joins the Silver Comet Trail in Georgia. Take a day hike or go on a longer backpacking trip on the Pinhoti Trail. We will gladly help you locate local trail heads and if you want to go on an overnight trip, we can provide a shuttle service as well. We are also near Terrapin Creek which offers a pleasant day of paddling on your kayak or rent from one of the local outfitters. Check out Noccalula Falls 20 minutes away in Gadsden, stroll downtown, and if you love microbrews you can't pass up a visit to Back Forty Brewing. The tallest peak in the state is Cheaha Mountain, about an hour away and offers hore hiking, waterfalls, and swimming holes. If you love nature and the outdoors, this is the place to be. We are ruled by nature and the seasons. Please don't expect too much in winter and early spring. We respectfully harvest our own chickens and pigs for meat, so please be aware that there is a possibility that we could be engaged in such an activity.  We'll still do our best to make your visit an awesome one.

Rustic Cabins at East West Farm
Pleasant Stay, Host was GREAT! :-)
Had no problems at Rustic Cabins. GPS takes you directly to the location. Clean quaint cabin. It’s a bit away from town, definitely in the country, but basic stores like quick stops for gas, dollar general, grocery, and fast foods all nearby. Daniel was very accommodating to all my needs while there, even met me and explained everything to me in person as my original arrival time was quite late for checkin. I’ll visit again if ever back out in & around the area and need a place to rest.

Rustic Cabins at East West Farm
Beyond any expectations I had.
Daniel has built a great setup - especially for a large family (several separate sleeping quarters). He took the time to explain the layout of his property AND many things to do that were close by. He checked on me every day to see if I needed anything; can't say enough about how welcome he made me feel and I will be going back.

Daniel was very nice, we had a last minute booking yet he still made sure we had all the information and directions we needed. He even put out two jugs of water and a lantern in the little cabin for us :), and came out to check we were all set! We loved waking up next to the cows and beautiful farm. Would definitely recommend this site!

Perfect for our quick trip through!
Great location, beautiful little cabins! This time we got there after dark, slept for 4 hours, then hit the road again, but our hosts were absolutely great, and very accommodating for our hurried situation. Maybe another time we can actually meet the hosts and some of their animals and see their sights! I would definitely recommend this site to anyone else, and I would love to go back should the opportunity present itself! Lovely place, clean cabins, well set up, fairly secluded and private.
