We do not understand the impression they took away.

The vibe at Camp at Parksland Retreat
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
I was in a group of 8 and stayed for Labor day weekend. Parksland Yoga Retreat was honestly exactly what we all needed, we had a lovely time. Here you will find stunning views, swimming holes and creeks, and enjoyable hikes. Dustin was very patient and kind in answering my hundreds of questions. He is really friendly and warm. Dustin and his family & friends built a lovely off the grid home/yoga retreat, including an outdoor shower and pit toilet. I really valued and appreciated the environmental practices exercised here.
When you arrive you park up near his home and hike about 1/8th of a mile (like 300 steps if you are short like me) to the private campsite. Keep in mind, it's a fairly steep incline on the way back up, but that is just motivation to pack light and enjoy the ride. It is absolutely worth it though. Seriously, it's like this place is radiating magic. There is a creek that swings around the site which you can swim in. Dustin provides recycling and a trash can, which is nice. The toilet and shower are up the hill, but do yourself a favor and make the hike. That toilet and shower were highlights of my year. No joke.
The area around the site is good for hiking. Must visit the Blue Hole, which is just down the road (like 1 mile away). It's a great swimming hole with a beach, deep water, and plenty of jumping off points. We had an amazing time at Parksland. Dustin and his friends and family are so nice and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone.
This place was a dream! Dustin and mandi were so sweet and we loved getting to know them. They were very helpful in letting us know the nearby attractions. They have a gorgeous property and the camping site was one of the best parts about it. Just down the hill from their house, we had our own little private space next to the river. The river was deep enough to swim and we enjoyed taking a little dip. They provided us with firewood and had a fire pit right on the site. They also have a beautiful outdoor shower that really might be one of the best outdoor showers ever. Half way down the hill to the site, there is a platform for yoga. Mandi was nice enough to lead us in a yoga stretch/class. It was one of the most peaceful yoga sessions we have ever done. Hearing the river and the birds while stretching it out was the best way to start the morning. Then on the way out , we stopped at the blue hole. Not far from their driveway. It was such a surprise to find that spot there and it made the morning thay much better. We went for a swim again and we wanted to cliff jump, but the water was just a little too cold to swim over to the cliffs. I can imagine in the summer, this could be a perfect place to spend the whole day cliff jumping, relaxing on the pebble beach, and swimming in the crystal clear water. This is definetley a spot we would visit again and again. Good times!
All around great campsite!! Incredibly accommodating. I had to arrive after dark but it was no issue, they had signs directing me in and 2 people to greet me when I arrived to give me an after dark tour and give me some firewood. Great setups, nearby swimming hole, the hot outdoor shower, the list goes on and on!! ALL the people on site were super cool, I can’t wait to go back! A++
Incredible place! We stayed at Site 1 and loved the private space with the nearby creek. It was well kept and the trails well marked. We made our way over to the nearby private swimming hole for the day- definitely recommend. The hosts, Dustin and Mandy, couldn't have been more hospitable and welcoming. They made our stay awesome. A really cool first hipcamp experience!
This place is absolutely incredible. Dustin is amazing, his family is very nice. They property is incredibly beautiful. If you get a chance to, book this place. We don't often make it up that way, but we will return just to spend time there at Parksland. 11/10
This place is super cool. Dustin and his wife are excellent hosts. The camp was extremely private and had a stream to cool off in. There is a waterfall right around the corner thats a lot of fun too. Definitely recommended. The only drawback is camp site one is down a hill and I found out how out of shape I was the hard way.
