The best site for longer vehicles is site 1 or 3. For site 2 you must hike 150' from parking unless you have four wheel drive. A composting privey is located a short distance from each site. The hiking trail down to Dark Hollow Branch is difficult with an elevation change of approximately 200 feet. The park features beautiful mountain views and small water falls. One of the unique bonuses of Dark Hollow is you can sometimes hear the lions roaring or wolves howling from the sanctuary located a mile away.

This is by far the best place to camp if you are in the area. The site is well maintained and easy to access (next to road) but the campsite up the hill was surprisingly free of road noise! The outhouse was very nice and clean, but not too close to the campsite itself. There is a small trail leading down to the creek that isn't the easiest trail to hike but was so worth it! The creek was packed with salamanders and really fun to explore. Our host left us our privacy but made sure to leave a place to drop off trash before leaving. The views were perfect and the area was fantastic for bird watching the next morning! Overall, this was an amazing experience. Oh... Did I mention there was absolutely no poison ivy?! It seems like the host really put in a tremendous amount of effort to keep it that way. We will definitely be staying here again if we ever find ourselves over this way!

This was a beautiful location, perfect for a few days away from home in the hammocks. It was really neat to he able to hear lions, tigers and wolves from the nearby animal sanctuary. Our hosts were very friendly and the site was very clean

It was amazing. The camp at the very top of the path to the left has a gorgeous view but its very hard to find soft ground or ground without rocks to put a tent up. The lowest camp site has a even better view but is some what small.

What a beautiful place. A new family favorite! To start, the drive up to this site was breath-taking. The site was easy to find and well kept. We found a good little spot far enough from the highway, making ourselves at home with an awesome view of the mountains. The owner does a fantastic job keeping the property clean. The site offered trash disposal and had a bathroom. The owner was kind to say hi and check in with us, making sure everything was good. 😁 The hike down to the waterfall was not too bad and well worth the effort. What a beautiful spot to beat the heat. Be sure to bring shoes that can get wet! The trail leading to the waterfall had a lot of love and maintenance done that was impressive for scaling a mountainside. Overall, the site was quiet and exceeded expectations. We will be returning!

One Word: AMAZING. If you're on the fence about staying here, you shouldn't be! The host and his son have put so much of there time into this property, and are continuing to do so! The sites are both spacious and flat, and the firepit was ready to be lit when I arrived. I had zero issues finding the spot, just park on the gravel. There are multiple hiking trails running through the property, and there are hidden gems throughout. The creek has multiple pools for you to relax and cool off in. All in all, an amazing spot with amazing people!

Lovely area to stay. We crossed over from TN and the fine mile of road was gravel but very drivrsble. GPS worked fine to find location. Big property with about 5-8 sites about 100 yards from each other and not within sight of others. Picnic table, fire pit, good space for car and tent. Owner takes you there and answers your questions. Firewood was freshly chopped.
