Campground is beautiful!!!
However we felt it would be best for tent camping. We came w a teardrop camper & tent. There are technology electrical sites. However, the outlets are across the stream. Therefore had Larry not been extremely helpful and had a long enough extension cord for us to borrow. We would have been w/o electricity.
Again, Larry was wonderful & not only delivered dry wood to us. But also started our fire. Due to the rainy conditions. We did leave a day early. Wish we could have stayed our full time. Thank you for sharing your little slice of Heaven with us

It was a surprise to see all of the little random photo-ops set up around the property. What a fun idea. A very peaceful spot. The only draw-back was spotty to nonexistent cell reception. Especially when following the GPS link in this app tried to take me somewhere completely different. Study your map before going!

Beautiful place, tons of stars at night, great spot right by the spring-fed water. Larry was super helpful, delivered us a bunch of wood and made sure we had everything that we needed.

Larry gave us Great experience. He checked on us each and brought fresh firewood. He even gave us a couple dozen fresh eggs. He is a great host. I'll definitely be coming back if I make it through the area again.

My son and I stayed here for the weekend and it was amazing. Larry is a really nice guy and takes care of the guests and the property. The campgrounds are close to a lot of trails and outdoor areas.

Beautiful area, wonderful host, quiet and accessible camping (this was not Larryfest weekend). Larry was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Nearby Kickapoo River area has tons of hiking and kayaking canoeing. We will definitely be back. Thank you, Larry!

Larry is a great guy. hang out on "the porch" if you can. property is very well kept. cell service is bad but he does have good wifi. After the sun goes down the property LIGHTS UP!!!!

We had some difficulty finding the location (our fault) so we called Larry to get some help and he eagerly offered to meet us at a local town and drive us to the campground. That same hospitality continued through our stay, he showed us where we could set-up, brought us a nice stack of firewood, invited us to join him and friends at their bonfire and even gifted us a bottle of maple syrup. Beyond the hospitality the location is gorgeous, set in a valley with beautiful views, this campground is immaculate. We only stayed one night but we will for sure be returning, we do a lot of camping and this spot is a new favorite!

Larry is quite the host! We felt welcome in his beautifully maintained campground from the moment we pulled in. He was totally accomodating, and we had a great time stirring in the front porch of his cabin sharing stories with the other campers.

We just did a cross-country trip staying almost exclusively at HipCamps to stay socially distanced. Larryfest was one of the highlights. It is hard to get across just how lovely and awesome this place was. The drive there takes you through some gorgeous country. Rolling hills and farms. It feels less like Wisconsin and more like Vermont or the like. Amish buggies clip clopping by. The property covers a HUGE area. There is plenty of flat, private space. We ended up next to a little stream under some trees with a spring bubbling out of the hill next to us. No-one nearby. Larry, the host and owner, couldn't have been nicer. We spent most of the visit just taking in the scenery. We did take a walk up the (not busy at all) road to visit the local flock of sheep and some geese. We live nowhere near there, but if I'm ever anywhere remotely nearby I'd make a detour to get back there and spend a few days.

Larry showed us to a particularly beautiful site near a creek with the freshest, clearest water that our kids loved playing in. He brought us firewood and was a great host! The only downside to our site is that it was nowhere near a spigot or bathroom. Luckily, we were equipped with dry camping supplies, but just a note that not all sites have the same available amenities.

The grounds were beautiful and private. We saw shooting stars, heard the birdsong, has camp fires, walked in the stream, enjoyed our music and relaxed. I’ll be back!

It is hard to express how happy we were staying at this beautiful site! The host was so welcoming and friendly that we felt right at home, Larry gave us a tour of his expansive and beautifully maintained property to make sure we found the spot that was best for us and even brought firewood and even moved a porta potty so we wouldn’t have that far to walk on a steamy July weekend. We have camped everywhere from New Hampshire to California and I can honesty say I have never felt so at home staying at a campground. We felt completely comfortable the extra precautions were being taken during the covid crisis and this gave us the much needed break from the everyday stress we are all facing right now. We will be back again and again!

Larry was very friendly and showed us around all his property so we could camp where ever we wanted. The property was very very well maintained and picturesk. It was quiet and private and we consider ourselves lucky to find this place. We were even invited up to his deck for a drink and good conversation. We will be back again!

I had a great time with Larry and his friends. Everyone was very accommodating and generous. The landscape was incredible and it's in the heart of the driftless zone. It was so perfect I stayed a second night.
There is much to explore here and I will definitely be back again!

Larry was very nice and had a lot of good options for tent camping.
Great scenery on the drive in to the area, and out in the morning. Watch for deer if you're driving in the area at dawn or dusk!

Larry and his friends and family were spectacular! We got in super late on Friday night and he drove usxatound on his quad to pick out our spot. We chose a prime location right next to a lovely brook which kept the kids well entertained. My daughter and I walked to a flock of sheep and a meadow if cows. She was in heaven. We definitely will be back especially to checkout the annual bluegrass festival!! Book here now! You won't be disappointed!!
