This was easily our favorite Hipcamp so far on our 11day roadtrip with our small family. You get a whole road/loop to yourself with a gate you can close for privacy. The creek was perfect to explore and the site came with a fire pit, optional firewood for purchase, and a nice lush spot to pop your tent up. I was especially grateful for the loop aspect. We pitched our suv adaptable tent but we needed to go to the store so we detached, came back, and it was so simple to just reattach because we could loop around and pull right where we were. The outhouse was good size to change clothes in or use the restroom. There were cars who drove by up the hill but honesty it was nice (felt safe) for us after being very secluded for a while prior. The cars were up the hill so it was still private. Can’t say enough good things about this site!

We had a great night staying at Shaded Brookside Glen. Forrest was incredibly communicative and kind. The spot was clean, beautiful and easy to find. I will definitely stay again the next time we are in that neck of the woods!

Forrest’s Hipcamp spot is perfect! It’s a well maintained and super leveled spot. The brook next to the site is such a delightful treat especially at night. The outhouse is clean and fully stocked. My pup loved the spot because he had a ton of space to roam. Forrest is an amazing and communicative host. I would highly recommend this spot! Will be coming back for sure!

This place was beautifully tucked in again a babbling brook. The dog and cat both enjoyed the area with us. Hosts were amazing and place was super clean.
Loved the composting toilet feature!
Would love to book again for fall time :)

Beautiful spot and conveniently located. Private and peaceful with a spacious and clean outhouse. Lots of wildlife activity at night- we heard (distant) coyotes and owls as well as mystery visitors crunching through the leaves. My dog really enjoyed playing in the stream and my highlight was relaxing in our hammock reading a good book. Thank you so much, Forrest and Jean!

We really enjoyed this site! My wife and I brought our dog and used the site as a base camp for exploring some of the local trails and businesses in Lebanon, W. Lebanon, and Hanover. Very well laid out and very easy to set up. The brook was low due to little rain recently - but it still provided a nice cool down for me after a long morning of hiking. I will definitely book this site again!

Elm Tree Farm’s campsite is beautiful! The babbling brook babbled, there were plenty of spots to set up my tent, and the outhouse is the nicest I’ve ever used. Really, and I’ve used plenty. I had a great stay and will return if ever in the area again.

What a wonderful stay for our group of four adults and two dogs. The property was beautiful and offered plenty of space. Parking our small camper was a breeze on the level ground, and our friends were able to pitch their tent on equally flat terrain. We had a great time exploring the brook and even spotted some tiny fish. The fire pit was perfectly situated and we appreciated the ample firewood available for a small fee. While we could hear some traffic noise, it wasn't enough to distract from the overall tranquility of the area.

It’s a very private spot. Superbly clean composting toilet Good hardwood firewood for sale. (Bring kindling). Road noise during the day but quiets down after dark. A good location for visiting Saint Gauden National Historic Site and touring historic Cornish Artists Colony Houses.

This is a truly lovely site. I brought my 13’ travel trailer, but I also noticed multiple flat, grassy tent spots. The layout of the site was well-thought out and maximized the beauty. They maintain one of the nicest outhouses I have ever seen. This single site is a wonderfully private wooded area with the brook providing sounds, sights, and recreation (wading, skipping rocks, trying to convince your dog that getting in the water is fun, cooling off, and just being).
There was one bar of cell service at times, which was perfect for me. I was able to unplug and slow down for a few days.
Because of arriving later on the first day than intended and happily sleeping in the next, I did not run into Forrest, but I did note that he came and replenished the firewood near the site without making enough noise to wake me (very late sleep in). All of our communications online were very pleasant and helpful.
You definitely can hear the “traffic” on the nearby, two-lane rural highway. It is not loud enough to be intrusive; you can hear the brook and birds, have a conversation, and enjoy the overall peacefulness. It is heaviest during the weekday evening commute and peters out the later into the night it gets. Personally, the benefits of the private, isolated site without other campers making noise far outweighed the road noise. Also, the location was perfect for my needs.
I highly recommend Forrest and his well-designed and well-maintained campsite. I look forward to visiting it again!

This site was beautiful and private, we absolutely loved it! Our dog had a blast running around the site and exploring the stream. Plenty of room for our camper, nice open level spot to set up. Easy to find, and to get in and out of. We watched the meteorite shower out in the field one night, it was perfect! We will definitely come back!

We loved our time! Very secluded. You could occasionally hear car traffic but wasn’t bad. The river was really nice for a quick dip to cool off! We unfortunately had a bit of a severe thunderstorm roll in on our second night. We went out to Lebanon for dinner while it passed. When we came back there was only a couple of puddles but they dried before the sun even set! Cannot wait to come back!

Great place to camp! Private, peaceful spot right next to a brook. I appreciated that the parking area was leveled out with gravel, it made finding a flat spot for sleeping very easy. Super clean toilet as well. Would definitely stay here again.

My girlfriend and I had a great time on Forrest’s land! It was easy to find and get to the site itself with a vw jetta, even with the rain. The site is beautiful, super relaxing and feels private. Falling asleep next to the water is great. The fireflies are super active after dark and was a really cool experience. Overall I would definitely recommend this site.

I enjoyed the secluded spot, close to the creek. Was enjoyable to fall asleep with the sound of water nearby. Facilities were clean and stocked. Would definitely stay again.
