This piece of property was very clean and worked out perfectly for us to tent camp while exploring the area. Even able to catch a nice bass from the pond

Stayed for a few days and was well worth the stay! The host was incredibly nice and has a beautiful property! River out back that you can swim in and kayak in. ( we didn’t go in) but otherwise very safe property, would stay again!

Me and my dog are doing a bike packing trip across Florida and this is an excellent spot highly recommend it host is extremely accommodating really enjoyed my stay here nice and quiet fenced in yard dog could roam freely she really loved it

Russell had a very affordable property he shared . This was shared in his front yard , a little strange but he left us alone . Only comment I will say is his property is fairly close to a busy highway . So when trying to sleep, you would hear cars and motorcycles peel out .
I put in ear plugs the next night & slept like a baby . Overall great stay

Perfect spot for camping near the beach if you want to avoid the crowds. We weren't bothered by anyone our entire stay which is what we prefer.
Perfectly level camp site under some shade trees was perfect for setting up our pop up camper. Plenty of open space for our 3 kids to run around. Tucked away but close to everything. Aldi, Walmart, Target 5 minutes away. The beach 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. We had a nice stay here.

Very accessible location with one site that has full hookups. A short drive to Gulf Islands National Seashore's Johnson Beach and Perdido Island. Many interesting attractions, such as the Pensacola Lighthouse and Museum and the Naval Aviation Museum. Also near the Flora-Bama Lounge and restaurants that straddle the state line. Very private: Russell was there if we needed anything, but left us alone. There's a little stream and pond in the backyard with lots of birds. There's also a firepit. Overall a great experience.

It was a cool spot. Unfortunately the site I booked was not available when I arrived so I was not able to hook up. Fortunately it was not an issue because I was just sleeping for the night but was disappointed because I paid for the RV hookup spot and was only able to park and sleep because the spot was already taken. The place was really awesome and would stay there again as long as it was guaranteed the spot paid for or a discounted rate for no hookups.

This was a fantastic location away from all the hustle bustle but close enough to be able to enjoy all of it. We felt safe and were very pleased with our spot. Our chocolate lab was a very happy girl here, as she had plenty of space to run and a little creek close by to swim in. We had plenty of privacy and a very kind and accommodating host, Russell. We greatly enjoyed his company and he even took us for a ride in his 1927 Ford (all original) Truck!! We will definitely book with him again. Oh! And there’s an awesome thrift store that’s within walking distance, definitely a bonus!!

We had mixed feelings about this spot. When we showed up, a bit early, no one was around to talk with. Connected with Russell, thru this text platform, who said he was in meeting so just set up where we wanted. There was a camper already in the spot pictured in many of these photos so we took the opposite side of the property. Nice, level, and great for our solar and Starlink.
During our stay, 5 days, no one was around. Not at the other camper or in the house. I tried calling Russell and his posted number is a fax?!? All in all, we felt safe just not what was expected 👎🏼

Russell was very courteous and had good communication. The camping area is large, perfect for our 30 ft motorhome with tow vehicle & we didn't have to unhitch. It was quiet & peaceful during the night, some jet noise during the day from nearby Air Force base. Would definitely recommend and would use again.

The host was great. He's a Navy pilot captain. And very personable. The property is located in a fantastic location to explore the area like the aviation museum and fantastic beaches and the price is more than reasonable, as compared to anything else in the area.

Russell's spot is beautiful. It's shaded with a picnic table. The beautiful beaches of Pensacola Beach/Gulf Breeze are only 30 mins away. Unfortunately due to personal reasons, we were unable to stay for the duration of our reservation. Russell was so understanding and helpful. We hope to get back there one day. Russell is a great host. I highly recommend Russell's place if you are in the Pensacola area.

I booked a night with “Russell” through the Ap. I later got a an automated response stating our stay was approved. Then I got a message from Russell saying the site is NOT available for any time in the “foreseeable future” and that he thought he had removed it from hipcamp. …… my credit card was billed. I later was refunded the base rate but was not given back the $8.00 processing fees. I should have been given 100% of my money back since this site is being advertised in error and actually doesnt exist.

The location was easy to find. The scenery was beautiful and the tenting spot was just perfect in size and comfort. There was firewood right nearby that I could purchase . If I had more time, I would have enjoyed flying my kite in the Meadow. My dog had a blast as well.

It’s ok if you just want to stay but that nice creek in the pictures is mostly a swamp you can’t get in and we had to go thru tall grass to get to the site
Im glad to have a place to stay but I won’t rent again
