This is a double edge sword for me. The views are awesome but the campground is very rugged for the price in my opinion. Its a jeep trail in and fairly steep drive in and out with ruts and uneven terrain. I would say a least the sites should be fixed up a bit to be a little more level so you dont have to use rocks or blocks to level what you're camping in. Place has a lot of potential.

This camp site was more than I expected, I loved every bit of it! The view is amazing, access is not bad - highly recommend 4x4. My full size truck made it just fine, if you’re comfortable with your driving skills you’ll be just fine. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Camping was awesome at this site!! The path there was bumpy but that was to be expected, having 4wd made it a breeze. There wasn’t a set spot for the tent and the ground was rocky, but the views were 100% worth it. We had reception on our phones, but still felt like we were able to get away from society.

I booked expecting a beautiful but safe camping experience, and unfortunately this was not what I found. Driving in, I passed scrap yards and abandoned buildings with people loitering, which felt unsafe. Once at the site, the ground was so rocky it was impossible to get a good night’s sleep. The bathroom had no toilet paper or sanitizer, even though the host’s own instructions said they would be provided, when I brought this up, they denied ever saying that, which was misleading. I even had to move a fallen tree myself just to access the site.
On top of that, I was told there was a fire ban, but later learned from another camper that it wasn’t a county ban at all… it was imposed by the host because of one other camper leaving a fire unattended. That’s not what was advertised and felt dishonest.
I realized immediately when I arrived and attempted to set up that this site would not work and informed the host I would be leaving. I asked for a refund for the second night only due to inaccurate advertising and were denied that as well. The host told me the land was never advertised as such despite previous messages stating the amenities that were missing were to be provided.
Almost all other sites were empty, so it was clear that I was not depriving them of a different camper booking.
The land itself is naturally beautiful, but the listing is inaccurate, the amenities are poorly maintained, and management was dismissive. I cut my stay short and would not recommend.

Wasn’t able to go bc of a sprained ankle. Tried to see if the host would be flexible with the cancellation policy the day before arrival but she said it was set in stone. Make sure you cancel 3 days in advance if you think you can’t make it bc they won’t have any sympathy. In retrospect I should’ve cancelled and then tried to rebook if it was still available and my ankle was better.

Amazing view. Tent camping. I was able to get my 2WD 2020 Ram 1500 back there and out just fine. I did have sunny summer weather. I do caution, I would not attempt this with heavy rain or snow with 2WD. If you are uncomfortable off-road, don't attempt with 2WD. I would not say it is easy with 2WD but it is manageable.
I like the Two Brothers Rd approach from Idaho Springs, it's rougher but quicker.
Outside of that, I had Site 1 which is clearly the second best site. Site 3 is certainly the best. Other sites are more wooded and don't necessarily have the full mountain view, but you can walk and set up chairs to see the view. I'd camp there again if I was in the area.

The view at site #3 were incredible, easily best spot at the site and I had I was the only one there which was even better….roads a little tight for a full size pick up but you can mange. Definitely would stay again and recommend to others!

We really enjoyed our stay! The area is beautiful, and site #11 was a great spot—clean, peaceful, and easy to find thanks to the clear directions from the host. Communication was great as well; the host was responsive and helpful before our arrival.
As a heads-up for future campers, the nearby campsites are closer than expected, and there was some noise from a nearby home. Neither of these things impacted our overall experience, but it's good to be aware if you're looking for total seclusion.
Overall, a great spot, and we'd definitely come back!

I absolutely loved camping at this site! It was my first solo trip ever and it felt very safe. The views are out of this world and it was such a peaceful time for me and my pup. We will definitely be back!

Great views! Like others have said, the sites are on the small end but ours (#1) was perfectly serviceable for two people and our dog. Hilly landscape, and the road through to Idaho Springs is no joke. Use the Central City route that is suggested!
My only critique which is no fault of the hosts is there isn’t a ton to do within a walk from the site. For hiking, etc, you’re in for a 20 minute+ drive. Not much of an issue for us, as we mainly wanted to relax in nature but did take a trek down to Idaho Springs to get some hiking in.
It was a great place to relax and soak in the views and mountain air.

The place was great. We were hoping to escape the wildfire smoke with the high elevation, but Saturday morning was still a bit smokey. However, the place was wonderful and with excellent views. Will go back there at some point in the future.

This private campground was just what we needed to get out i to nature for a night😍 - the perfectly quiet, close to Denver yet feeling like you are in the isolated wilderness was everything we could have hoped for. Even though there were other campers nearby, everyone was extremely respectful and quiet. Our site was on a bit of an incline, but we made it work. The pit bathrooms are clean and not stinky. Views were really nice and the amount of tree cover was great for sleeping in a bit. I’m glad the description called out AWD/4WD needed even though it was just a small part of the road in which it was needed. The ghost town nearby is walkable, and Central City and Idaho Springs are just a short car ride away.

We arrived knowing it was going to be “rustic” but I didn’t expect to see actual rusty large pieces of metal laying about. Ok, fine. Tossed out of the way so we didn’t injure ourselves. The view is incredible! The road is garbage. Ok with that too. Stayed one night and got a notification the next morning saying fires are now banned. I messaged and asked why. The reason is some other irresponsible camper leaving fires unattended. Why should we be punished for that? No burn bans in the county. I looked before asking. It’s cold up there so a fire is a necessity. They are also watching you on cameras. No one on site that I could tell. The pit toilet was full of garbage and had 2 walls. We ended up leaving and finding a new camp. Management of this property is not great. The “host” was less than helpful. It has potential but they’re just going to take money and not put in the work.

We enjoyed staying at Prospector’s Rush! We stayed at Campsite C. It was a small campsite, but we made it work. We were there Saturday-Monday and were the only ones around Sunday night, it was extremely quiet and private. The views were breathtaking. We even saw the Milky Way our second night!

What a great spot! The view was truly amazing. The only downsides to the tent location is that there isn't any protection from the wind or any shade, but it's worth it. The toilet could also be fenced off for more privacy.
There's plenty of wood around the area to use for a camp fire and a picnic table.

Nice spot to camp! Cameras are pretty close to campsites but pointed indirectly toward parking spots. Beautiful views of the sky and open Mountain View’s make for a very nice place to spend a night or two

Had a lovely time here. We felt fairly isolated, though sound carried pretty well across the valley, so we could hear all the other campsites around. Campsite #A is on 3 different levels, which we had a decent time with, but would be quite tricky for folks with walking difficulties.
The directions we received were helpful, definitely take the route down the Central City Parkway; the route from Idaho Springs is very steep and rocky. Not good for anyone who gets carsick.
Site was well-maintained, as was the toilet, which has a great view.

The campsite was beautiful! Very clean and welcome environment with great spacing for vehicles to park and campers to set up camp. I enjoyed my time there with my buddy, high up in the peaceful mountains of Colorado. I will definitely be back in the future
