The site was in a wooded area. A hammock and string lights were provided, adding to the atmosphere. While the bathrooms were being renovated we were still able to use them. It was quiet and we had a peaceful stay.

Staci and staff patiently answered questions, helped with problem-solving and responded quickly and graciously to all our requests. After a week of backpacking, we enjoyed showering in clean bathrooms, watching kids play on the playground, and eating eating ice cream from the store while doing our laundry.

We had a wonderful stay at Shadow Mountain Campsite! The facilities were clean(for a campground) the staff were friendly, and the surroundings were beautiful. Although we had to switch campsites due to a minor booking error, the staff handled it smoothly and promptly. A bit of road noise at our campsite but not terrible. Overall, a great experience.

Convenient but not great
My boyfriend and I planned a weekend trip to the Peninsula and needed a campsite fairly close to the places we wanted to see. We chose this one since it was pretty close to Lake Crescent and other hikes. The site we chose was REALLY close to Hwy 101. We didn’t think we would be bothered but the first night was really difficult to sleep. The site is also very close to Site A and other RV’s so it didn’t feel as private.
As for the amenities, the bathrooms were not so great. I took one step into the Women’s restroom and had to walk right out. It was just not… well kept. The Men’s restroom was a little bit better but that’s because it was being renovated. However, when my boyfriend went to go for a hot shower, the shower didn’t turn on and he was fidgeting around and nothing came out of the spout. Slightly disappointed since you want to take a hot shower after hiking all day.
The store onsite was fine. It had things you may need if you forgot something. The ice cream was okay. Tasted a bit like freezer burn but was still okay since it was pretty warm out and needed a little treat. Gas was a little pricey compared to going closer to town. But was convenient since we were right there and can fill up any time. You can also rent kayaks too.
Overall, it was an OK experience. Would recommend it if you need a place to crash overnight and leaving in the morning.

Great spot!
Great little spot! I felt safe and the bathroom/hot shower were great after a long day of hiking! Definitely recommend!
