Hipcampers say this spot has amazing views.
Visit Vashon Island and relax on this private 15 acre property. Camp near the bluff, overlooking Puget Sound, walk the trail down to the beach and enjoy 1000 ft. of secluded beach. Please note: There is an additional charge of $25/person/night above the base rate. For some reason hipcamp doesn't automatically add in this charge, so we will request it separately. It must be paid in full prior to arrival to avoid cancellation of your stay. The island boasts great coffee hangouts, galleries, wineries, restaurants (Earthen, The Ruby Brink, The Hardware Store Restaurant), Snapdragon and others. Minglement, the Burton Coffee Stand, and Cafe Olio Vino have great coffee. Thriftway is a great grocery store. The Burton Store is worth a visit if you are coming from the Tacoma/Pt. Defiance ferry as you will pass it on your way to the property. There a galleries, shops and restaurants in the town of Vashon and also in Burton. Vashon Center for the Arts, O-Space and the Chamber of Commerce have events that might be of interest. Bikes, E-bikes, paddle boards and kayaks can be rented from Vashon Adventures and Vashon Bikes. They also rent tents and some camping equipment. Before lighting an outdoor fire, please check with us. There are sometime burn bans for air quality and/or high fire danger. Generally, fires are allowed at the beach below the high tide line and must be put out COLD with water and buried with sand before leaving them unattended. You are responsible for any damage or injuries caused by a fire you start, so please be careful!Camp on Vashon Island overlooking Puget Sound and Mt. Rainier! Walk the forest trails or follow the trail down to our 1000' ft of southern exposure, private beach. Pt. Robinson Lighthouse or Maury Island Marine Park are walking distance away. Roast marshmallow over a beach fire, enjoy amazing sunsets, keep an eye out for humpbacks and Orca! Sea lions, otters and seals swim by. Fish jump and sea birds swoop over the water. Vashon has fabulous restaurants (Earthen, The Ruby Brink, The Hardware Store Restaurant, May's Thai, and more) wine tasting, breweries, galleries, arts performances, and lots of peace and quiet just an hour from Seattle and Tacoma. If you're a UFO buff, check out the Maury Island Incident, which happened right here! Take a look on-line at the Vashon Maury Chamber of Commerce, Vashon Center for the Arts, Vashon Parks District, and O-Space for current "things to do".

Vashon Bluff & Beach
Whimsical weekend camp spot
This is one of my favorite hip camps I have visited! Lisa’s property is gorgeous. The beach access for campfires is super fun, the field feels like something out of a fairy tail, and the designated “camping signs” are so cute. 10/10 would recommend!

Spectacular location on a very well cared for property. Lisa communicated well and was accommodating. The beach was just a short walk and so was the Bird King troll! We’ll be back for sure!

Great spot! Lovely views and convenient beach access. Not really private and the water spigot is a bit of a hike.

Best View!
This hipcamp has one of the best views available, so close to Seattle. We saw orcas and seals and jellyfish. Mt Rainier was front and center. Our dogs loved access to the water and the big field to run around in. It was a bit less private than we expected. At least 4 different pairs of people walked across the field we were staying in and startled our dogs. I would totally camp here again, but it didn't feel private enough for the more anxious dog in our group.

Beautiful property- it was cold during our stay but we still had a nice time. Directions were easy to follow and it was fun watching the ships in the bay. Highly recommend and hopefully we can come back when it’s a little warmer!
