Near Mount Rainier National Park
Within a 30-minute drive from the Nisqually Entrance.
Perfect Basecamp for Mount Rainier! Stay at our cozy homestead and honeybee farm in Mineral, Washington. Located right on State Route 7, we're 2 hours south of Seattle, 2.5 hours north of Portland, and 2.5 hours west of Yakima. We're just minutes from Mount Rainier National Park, Gifford Pinchot National Forest, and Elbe Hills and Tahoma State Forests. Enjoy stunning views of Mount Rainier from our small homestead and apiary. We offer 3 campsites in an open field where you might see elk, deer, ducks, geese, and hear our resident frogs. Wildflowers, bees, and pollinators are plentiful, and star gazing is fantastic on clear nights. Our property is next to National Forest land, perfect for hiking, foraging, and hunting. We're 5 minutes from Mineral Lake, 5 miles from Alder Lake, 10 miles from Ashford, and 15 miles from the Nisqually entrance of Mount Rainier National Park. Campsites: • Site #1: Fits 2 RVs or 4-6 tents. • Site #2: Fits 1 RV or 4-6 tents and a hammock. • Site #3: Fits 2 tents, most private, no direct mountain view. Campsites are "no frills” with dry camping/boondocking. We provide a port-a-potties (no cat holes). Potable water and a bucket are available elsewhere on the property. Generators are allowed, and Verizon and T-Mobile users may have cell service. Note: This is a working bee farm. If allergic or afraid of bees, consider other options. We offer beekeeping mini classes. Pets: Must be leashed and controlled. Clean up after them. Livestock: We have chickens and turkeys. Fresh eggs and honey may be available for purchase. We also offer soaps, honey, honey suckers, and more. Soap making and salve/balm workshops start in Summer 2024. Check-in: 2 PM until dark. Guests are greeted upon arrival. Perfect for solo campers, small groups, or family reunions!

Site 2 - Rainier View
Will 10/10 stay here again!
Steve and Starla were great hosts! Very friendly and accommodating. We stayed at site 2, which had plenty of space. We were able to hang up our hammock nearby too! Definitely recommend taking the bee class, was worth every second. I was a little nervous about it at first but they provide all of the gear you need to feel comfortable around the bees. What a cool experience :)

Site 1 - Pond & Rainier View
We had a wonderful time camping here! It was the perfect spot between Mount Rainier and Mount St. Helen for our adventures. When the Mountain was out we had a great view! Steve and Starla were very friendly and welcoming too and it made for a great experience.

Site 1 - Pond & Rainier View
Exactly what you need
The view is absolutely gorgeous. We got to watch Mt Rainier tuck herself in the clouds, and wake up the sunlight. We chose to do the bee tour on the day we left and it was such an amazing experience! Steve and Starla were incredibly educational and were so accommodating for us! This spot is far enough away to see the Milky Way on a clear night, and close enough to civilian life if you forgot to pack something. There's fresh water available for drinking and cleaning up. The toilet was simple and private. The turkeys and cows and dogs and cats and bees were all super friendly the whole time. I absolutely recommend this spot!

Site 3 - Secluded, no view.
We really enjoyed meeting Steve and Starla and all of their animals - turkeys, chickens, cows, cats, dogs, and honeybees (fun to put on the "bee suit" and meet the girls)! Honey is SO delicious:-) Tent camping at the more secluded site #3 was perfect for us. Very convenient to get to Mt. Rainier National Park. Only downside was road noise from Hwy. 7, but ear plugs made it much better.
