So many beautiful birds!
My husband and I absolutely loved our camp spot next to the pond! We were looking for an easy spot to stop overnight before heading onto the Oregon coast. We wanted to have something unique and we found it!
The amount of different birds we had the opportunity to watch was incredible. I could have sat and listened for hours! The spots are rustic but fairly level and easy to maneuver around. During our short stay we were the only campers so we felt like we literally had the whole place to ourselves. The spaces are spaced apart pretty good so if there had been others I feel like we would have still been comfortable with our space. Firewood was offered and there was a fire pit with grate for cooking. We had our camper and propane fire but thought it was a nice touch. There is potable water close to the home where we filled up jugs.
The host was very responsive and made sure to let us know they weren’t going to be there the day we were, but they did offer a contact of somebody they had available at the home to help if we needed any assistance.
Port a potties were clean and offered on both sides of the camping area. You can see the house and barn from all sites but again, felt very private and only saw a couple people but at great distance.
Our favorite part was the surprise visit from the adorable goats while we were on the tree swing! Cutest, friendliest little goats!
Close to conveniences like food/gas/coffee. Will definitely be back to stay again.

Don’s camping spots are right up against the waterline to watch any wildlife that makes its home there. It’s a good place to listen to many bird songs. Don is kind and happily offers information and advice to enjoy your stay. I was very pleased to meet two week old Bucky the goat and friends. Definitely worth exploring this little spot, and my 15 year old doxie wore himself out wandering around the wide open space.

Enchanting Oasis: A Magical Stay
Wow, what an absolutely enchanting experience we had at this campsite! The slough and surrounding scenery were simply breathtaking, especially as the sun dipped below the horizon in a blaze of colors. We were treated to the sight of beautiful birds soaring overhead, adorable chickens clucking around, and the most delightful goats, who greeted us with wagging tails and eager munching when we arrived. We even had the incredible luck of spotting a playful river otter during our stay!
This place truly feels like stepping into a fairytale, and I can't emphasize enough how much I recommend it to fellow campers, whether you're pitching a tent or rolling in with a massive 40-foot fifth wheeler. The versatility of this site is unmatched!
And let's talk about Don, the camp host extraordinaire. He's not just polite; he's the epitome of hospitality and charm. Don went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome and taken care of. From personally assisting us in getting settled in, to providing feed for our little ones to interact with his goats, and sharing insider tips on the best spots to explore nearby, his warmth and generosity truly made our stay unforgettable.
In short, our time at this campsite was nothing short of magical, thanks in large part to the wonderful combination of natural beauty and exceptional hospitality. Don't miss out on the opportunity to create your own unforgettable memories here!

Exceptional host
My overnight stay was a bit off season so I was the only one there and coming in during the evening, and Don was very kind to start a fire for me so that I could find my campsite and have a little warm up! He is very enthusiastic about the property, which truly is full of wonderful wildlife! Unfortunately it was raining in the morning so I was unable to explore the paths that he showed me the evening before, which I'm sure was my loss!

We've stayed at many Hipcamps and this was by far our favorite, thanks to the generous hospitality of our hosts, Don and Cheryl. Amazing flora and fauna: beavers, otters, so many birds, wild edibles, farm-fresh produce on their property, and we even heard distant coyotes one night. Our hosts went out of their way to inform us about so many "hidden gem" activities nearby: hiking, swimming, fishing, where to get great burgers, even. It was a convenient halfway meetup point for our families in Portland and Seattle, too. The cleanest porta potties, and no mosquitoes either! The campsites were so spacious and private, never want to go back to a public campsite again, we're spoiled. It was a vacation to remember, and we hope to be back. Thanks Don and Cheryl for ensuring our stay was so wonderful!
