We'll be back!
Our stay at Creekside Grill (we kept hoping for a restaurant, haha, so we didn’t have to do our own grilling) was magical. Looking out of our screen in the morning onto the creek was a great way to start the day!
It was just the two of us (the other campsite was empty), and the peace & quiet was sublime. There was occasional road noise, but there aren’t many places in the area where you won’t have ANY road noise. Oh, and if you THINK you’ve got constant road noise (like Hubby did), walk down by the Stillwater site and realize it’s the dam overflow you’re hearing. 😉
I somehow overlooked the “4WD recommended” note in the HipCamp listing, but we made it down the hill with our AWD Tesla Y because of its higher clearance, although we had to be careful in some spots.
We loved the signage that made it easy to tell which was our campsite and appreciated the freshly mowed grass, picnic tables, and ADK shelter (definitely bigger than most ADK lean-to shelters) stocked with chairs.
We also enjoyed chatting with Rick when he drove by on his ATV one day, and we will definitely come back!
A final note on food: if the weather isn’t cooperating for outdoor cooking, we highly recommend The Hungry Pilot at the Chester County Airport in Coatesville. Seriously, an airport café! Great beer selection and delicious food. The Four Dogs is also very good (with indoor/outdoor seating), but don’t even consider The Whip Tavern – too stressful to find a parking spot there.

You must experience this Hipcamp
Top tier hip camp for sure. My girlfriend and I stayed at campsite 2 in February 2024 and loved every second we were there. No one was in camp site one when we were there so it felt like a private paradise to us. We had two picnic tables, fire pit, creek side access, the wooden overhang from the photos, and enough flat land to build another 5 tents at least. I really only stay at hipcamps with one site because privacy is key to us and when we saw that no one booked site 1 we were sold on site 2. Site 1 and 2 are slightly visible from one another but 95% of the time it’s not in your eye line. We saw 2 bald eagles while we were here which felt so patriotic as it sailed over the massive old glory perched over the center of the creek. What an amazing thing to watch. We showed up on our first night in the dark so finding the entrance was slightly difficult but once I saw the gate on the corner of Mortonville road it was clear we had arrived. Once at the gate the instructions were perfect and to get to campsite two you just drive as far back as you can until the road is blocked by rocks. Would absolutely recommend to anyone and will be back for sure.

Great!
The site was awesome! It gets muddy when it rains but if the weather is clear, its one of the best spots around. The site was clean and the creek was great for fishing! Rick was great and answered any questions quickly.

Fall Getaway
Creekside 2 was awesome . It was perfectly secluded and was easily able to fit 6 tents and 5 vehicles with plenty space to give . The views , scenery , and river were amazing to wake up too. I only wish it was warmer when we booked so we could swim and fish. I would come back and stay here in a heart beat. The owners of the property made you feel very welcome too

Great Site
This Site was great! Easy to get to and plenty of room to park. There was a very well kept porta potty on site. And each site has a fire pit and access to use the canoes and Kayaks. Perfect for a nice little get away!
