Great spot!
Great spot for camping with private river access. There are many trails to hike and wineries around. Matt was a great host and everything was clean.
It was a fantastic Mother’s Day weekend trip! We’ll be back!

Manzanita Camping Co Rocks!
What an amazing experience at site 6.
Everyone enjoyed their stay very much. Listening to the water all night long was awesome. Other than the mosquitoes between 5 and 7 it was exactly what we were hoping for. Host greeted us and showed us the area. I would recommend Manzanita Camping Co. But not to much because we want to come back and not have the dates taken. LOL!
Thanks for an awesome experience Matt! 😀

We loved Manzanita Camping! Our host, Matt, was super friendly and accommodating. The camps are spaced nicely from each other. We were in a travel trailer, but the tent camping and glamping spots looked great, too. The location is close to white water adventure places if you are into that. There is a nice little hike down to and along the water. We will definitely be back to this place.

CAMPER BEWARE!!
The land was very pretty, but I resent paying for a site advertised as having certain amenities when, in fact, it didn't. I paid extra to have a site with a propane fire pit. I had been in contact with the owner about arriving and getting an orientation to the camp; he was very timely in responding. He told me that he was about to close camp for the season and that he had been called away and could not meet me there. He said I would be the only camper there and that he would leave the gate open to the camp. When I arrived the pit was there, but not the propane. The following day I messaged him to ask if I was getting the propane I paid for and to tell him I expected a partial refund for the previous night or double that if I didn't get propane for the 2nd night either. Late that afternoon a caretaker for a neighboring campground came by with the propane and helped me get it going. This person told me that the owner had gone to drive cattle - another family business. The owner never responded to my message about a refund - pure silence. I guess he only wants to talk to people when they are putting money in his pocket. I sent a complaint to HipCamp and they say he refused to issue any refund. I have zero respect for anyone who willingly cheats people. So CAMPER BEWARE - maybe you'll get what you pay for or maybe he will cheat you. Maybe at the end of the season he doesn't care about treating his last customer fairly. Glad I'm not him.

This was a phenomenal trip. Matt was accommodating and incredibly nice. We stayed in campground 5, and despite the family in campground 6 having, in their words, 'a dance party,' we could barely hear them and slept well to the sound on the nearby South Fork of the American. Our site had a bench/table, propane fire pit for S'mores, well cleared flat area for the tent and a close by spot for the car that was far enough I couldn't see it (sweet spot, as far as I'm concerned). There was a nearby running water toilet by the hose bib for portable water, in addition to closer by port-a-poties. In other words the perfect setup for a car camping trip with the kids.
I would recommend staying here, and my 7 y/o has already asked to return.
