Off The Grid Furnished Tent
Hosts were friendly and accommodating. Glamping tents were well provisioned, comfortable, and it was great to have access to a grill, running water, and places to sit. This simplified our travel and made for more time to relax and enjoy.

Hot Springs Trailhead Camping
My boyfriend and I tent camped with our dog for three days/ two nights mid week. The people I checked in with couldn’t look up my reservation I made through Hipcamp which I thought was strange because I paid through Hipcamp and they just took my word on it.
There was no one else there but the sites were well spaced so even if they are full you’re not too close to neighbors.
There is no shade at most of the sites. The few that have partial shade are located near the trailhead so we opted to camp further away with no shade and avoid any potential issues with our dog barking while in the tent hearing early hikers walking nearby. Dogs are allowed off leash so it was nice not to have him tied up the whole time.
We had planned to cook all of our meals over the fire pit but we had to grab a grate from another site because ours was missing. Others were missing as well.
We were situated atop a hill and had great views.
If you haven’t spent time in the desert, prepare for cold at night and hot during the day.
The firewood we bought from the owners was nice and dry so it was easy to get a fire going, but I recommend feeling the weight of the logs and grabbing some that are heavier and will burn slower or you’ll go through it quickly.
The pit toilet wasn’t smelly but didn’t have toilet paper after our first day. We brought our own anyway but I’m sure they would have had some for us had we asked. We didn’t check out the showers.

Hot Spring Pool & Cave Cabin Site
awesome spot - setup up a ton of lights (+1 for electricity on site!) and had DJs playing until midnight, great spot to throw a dance party! had so much fun and can't wait to come back.
