There are 5 sites to stop with an RV or tent plus a stone cabin with loft. The soil is very rocky not easy to farm so Grandpa said they " lived on elderberries and groundhog". 17 miles away is Punxsytawney home of the famous groundhog. There is 50 acres with a pink marked trail to Red Bank Creek and back up through a hemlock forest. A small stream runs through the property and forms a rocky delta in Red Bank Creek. I love the rocks on the property huge and small. Hike, enjoy the sound of the stream tickling through property, stargaze, or rest and relax in a hammock. There is one along the little stream and one at Outdoor Adventure Camp Site. No hunting on property but fishing allowed. Please keep fires in firepit and noise levels low.

Rustic Cabin

Not what we expected

While the co-host was very hospitable, the condition and location of the cabin were not what we expected. Cars drove by the cabin all day, which ruined the feel of being in nature and the cabin was very musty with stone walls that were soaked with water (inside the cabin) due to rain. Also, the lighting inside the cabin was horrible, even with battery powered lights. We ended up leaving early due to rain and not being able to relax in the cabin while it rained because the lighting was so bad.

Boondock at Sandstone Ledges

The land here is very magical. To walk in the forest to the creek then along the creek to the river was so beautiful. I slept great. It was quiet. I wish I could have spent all day in the forest. Hope to be back. There is no picnic table here and it's a walk to the compost toilet but I was fine.

Outdoor Adventurer Camp Site

A Peaceful Stopover

Linda’s land is beautiful and secluded yet not far from town. The Outdoor Adventurer site is well away from the road and has 2 bars of T-mobile cell service. There was a bit of a mix up when I arrived late in the day and the lock on the gate wouldn't open. I was concerned I would have to find another place to go as the sun was setting. No worries! Linda made it right by letting me camp at the Rustic Cabin, a very beautiful site but closer to the road and no cell service. I would not hesitate to camp here again knowing that Linda will make it right even if there are hiccups.

Outdoor Adventurer Camp Site

Fab spot

Linda and Judy were great! Very chill. Firewood and water there ready for us and had great fire tools (namely a little fire griddle). Also gave us a hike recommendation! And had a composting toilet which was nice.

I had a great time staying at Linda’s property! The woods and land were beautiful, easy to find, and very serene. The dogs loved running around and exploring too.
