Heritage Hills isn't called Heritage Hills for nothing! It's situated on 21 acres of what was the original Wawonowin Country Club, a 9-hole golf course that was built in the early 1800s and then closed in the mid 1960s. And now we have a beautiful mix of hardwoods and pines, forests and fields with multiplied non-motorized trails accessible right off the property. The very popular RAMBA bike trails are literally an ‘stones throw’ away! Our biggest site, Fairway Field is big enough for group camping that horse campers love, and one site, the Homestead, with an electric hookup. We don’t have a dump station or trash cans so please pack in and pack out. Phone signal is good throughout the area and we are close to civilization for necessities and only 20 minutes from Marquette. So much stuff to do in this area!

Fairway Field

Beautiful private campsite

We stayed at the Fairway Field campsite and had a great time! The site is by one of the horse trails so you may have a passerby if someone is out riding, but other than that it is a very private site. We got to meet a momma horse and her baby during our stay ☺️ Our dog was able to be off leash the whole time, which we loved. Has a nice secluded feel while still being close to both Ishpeming and Negaunee. There were quite a few mosquitoes, as to be expected in the UP once it warms up, so bring your bug spray. We would definitely stay again!

The Homestead, close to the barn

They are the best hosts. Their place is so beautiful and peaceful. Lots of trails to go on. We will definitely go back. Our new favorite spot. Thank you Joni & Phil.

The Greens

Great stay

Joni and Phil were amazing. Really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend them. Great service and very helpful. Wish we would have had more time to stay another day; but back to work. ❤️

The Homestead, close to the barn

Came back 2 weeks later. Phenomenal place. Lots of open/wooded space to explore, and the biking is perfect for beginners. I’ll be back anytime the weather permits

Fairway Field

Lovely spot. Great feel. Next to a bike trail network (so you may see some bikers). In early Nov, there are no bugs and good enough weather. Host gave some good recommendations on places to go (bike distance away) which were great.

The Homestead, close to the barn

This is my first stay, but it was a phenomenal location with many amenities. Bike and hiking paths were touching the property, so had easy access to them. Joni and Phil were so nice and have good recommendations and were knowledgeable about animal tracks/scat, etc
