Site 10 - Mulehalla on the Potomac River
Great space, and very chill, friendly clientele. We ended up hanging out with some fellow veterans over a fire and s’mores. Almost everyone (including us) had dogs, and everyone was respectful with no issues. Bathrooms were pristine, and firewood was easy to access. Great trails and awesome open space. Nearby stores and wand car wash. Great fun!

Great site for primitive camping. Very private on site 11. Walking distance to the C&O canal which is also beautiful.

Wow! What a great place!
I love Mulehalla! The directions are great just follow the signs. I had the place all to myself, this place has a lot of things to do, frisbee golf, or head down the trail to canal where the mules pulled the barges, very well maintained, has a bathroom and shower, I'll be back there for sure! Thanks Mulehalla! Worth

Yurt Campsite
We really enjoyed this trip! We are frequent tent campers but this was our first time staying in a yurt. Mulehalla’s accommodations were great and we highly recommend. As a piece of advice — this place is more delightful than the photos and previous reviews show. There is an actual flush toilet and a shower available, not just the portable toilet. There is also hose water if needed to rinse things off, etc. My only flag is that the pics of the yurt are *old* so make sure to bring your own air mattresses/sleeping pads. There is no futon. I would also recommend bringing a folding table if you have room. The red metal table is small if you are trying to cook out.
We really liked how quiet and expansive this campground was. Lots of space and lots to do!
