Peaceful Pondside Camping!
We really enjoyed our experience camping out by Edward's pond! We had the place to ourselves the first night and Edward told us we were his very first hipcampers ever! He was nice enough to gather us a bunch of firewood from around the property before we arrived, that plus a sack we bought at the local grocery store was more than enough for the night. In the morning we took the dog for a walk around the pond, it's a really lovely loop maybe around 1/4 mile long. The next day there were a few other groups of campers, the sites are close enough that you're aware the other folks are there but not right on top of each other - so it was nice to have neighbors. Edward went around to all the sites a few times just making sure everyone was comfortable, he seems like a really sweet guy who just wants everyone staying by his place to have a good time. There are lots of trees so the sites stay shady and it doesn't get too hot, plus there are lots of great places to hang a camping hammock (though in this area I'd highly recommend a bug net). The port-a-john was very clean and in great shape, but I guess that's no surprise since we were the first ones using it.
Our only complaint is there were a lot of ticks around the property. Not Edward's fault or anything that's just going to be true of any woods in this area - just a reminder to other campers to come prepared.

Camping with dogs and our 5 yr old!
Ed was so accommodating! He made sure our spot was perfect and the property is beautiful. The pond looks across to tall pine trees. The best part is that the property is 30 min from all the Delaware beaches. We found a dog friendly beach (even in season) in cape henlopen which was a highlight. We will be back again for sure and this time plan a full beach day with the dogs, and then a full relaxation day at the pond!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Edwards camping spot. We stopped for one night to rest on our way to the beach. We camped by a peaceful water pond, felt safe and very accommodated. Edward provided all of the necessities like a porter potty, firewood, bbq grill, a table and chairs. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean + Serene
Our time at Ed's was great! Nice and secluded, the pond view is gorgeous and he was super friendly and kind. When we needed to borrow a can opener he was right there to help! The grounds are beautiful and tranquil, the bugs weren't bad, and the port-a-potty was clean and well maintained. We had neighbors but felt a decent sense of privacy/space to not be right on top of each other. I definitely recommend!
