Great camp
Had a great experience at this camp. The host was very welcoming and communicative. Facilities were very nice. Close to the Sand Dunes and Chris had all kinds of tips to have a great experience at the dunes!

Large Desert Safari Tent
Flat high desert range land with vibrant vistas of two massive mountain ranges. Camp sites are spaced several hundreds of feet apart. The elevation and low humidity illuminate stunning star fields on clear nights. This is real camping. The accommodations are comfortable and the cook in kitchen is well supplied. Super authentic, rustic experience. The hosts are close and responsive.

Great view of Sangre de Cristos and Great Sand Dunes. Flat ground for setting up tents, with options to rent permanent dome tents and a family tent.

Great stay for first-time campers!
We had a fantastic time staying here! Chris was absolutely fantastic in ensuring we had everything we needed for our first time camping solo with two kiddos. The amenities were a fantastic bonus, especially the wonderful outdoor shower with incredible views. I definitely plan on visiting next time I find myself in the San Luis Valley!

Great weekend!
Chris’ campsite set up is great! You can tell he puts a lot of work into creating a unique experience - felt more like glamping and we were not expecting that which made it even better. Had everything we needed and more. Definitely worth a visit if you’re making a trip to the Sand Dunes. Would definitely go back!

Wild Camping Site 3
Chris’s land was PERFECT. It was mine and my husbands favorite camping spot, ever. (& we camp a lot). It was just so beautiful, very spread out from anyone else, felt like it was just you and the outdoors. If we were ever in the area again we would definitely come back. Clean bathrooms, great cooking area, and wonderful fire place! Thanks so much Chris!
