Saddle Up Ranch is a horse rescue that is ever growing. We have over 180 trees on the property (mostly beautiful flowing California Pepper Trees) and have gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains and horse pastures. We offer horseback riding, goat yoga, and goat milking. You can also volunteer and help care for the animals while you are here by feeding, grooming or simply petting them. TJ, our owner, is working her way through the race track. Our campsites are managed by Tony. He works closely with guests to expand our campsites. TJ and many of the guides volunteer hard hours to rehabilitate the horse and give them a good home. You should see how the animals flock to TJ. The ranch also has goats, pigs, chickens, dogs and cats. You can support our mission of rescuing horses by booking one of our horseback riding or other services! Thank you for your support! Guests love staying here: "Second stay and looking forward to returning again! <3 We were the only campers during the weekend, it was so serene. It gets very cold at night but the star filled skies are breathtaking. This time during our stay we had 3 kitty visitors and 3 dogs that rolled up to our camp multiple times, it felt like they were checking up on us. It was so cute. The sweet Aussie poked his head in our tent to say "you good?" haha It was so cute and they were extremely friendly and social! The black kitten stayed at our camp all night and cuddled on our laps by the fire. It was such a lovely experience. TJ and her crew have done an amazing job with this place, I don't have enough words to explain. Just see for yourself! You'll love it!! Can't wait to visit again!"

Great farm camping experience
SaddleUp provided a fantastic group camping experience for us and our friends. The kids absolutely loved spending time with the friendly farm animals (horses, goats, pigs) and especially petting Apollo, their sweet dog. Trail horse riding was a major highlight for the entire group. Just a 5-minute drive away, Stagecoach Inn, was a lifesaver since we didn't feel like cooking. Big thanks to TJ and Tony, the campground hosts, for their warm hospitality and making our stay so enjoyable!

Wonderful animals, people, location
Camping at Site 11 at Saddle Up Ranch was the best introduction to HipCamp for us! TJ and her crew do great work with the animals. TJ was very nice and welcoming and not intrusive at all, in fact she was busy most of the time caring for the property, visitors, and animals. Expect an off hands experience unless you dive in and ask to be included and help around, which you can. All the animals were friendly and while not all were open to contact, the ones that were were the sweetest. Horses, goats, dogs, and more are spread through the property. We especially loved our dog visitors making sure we were settling in OK and settling down themselves! The smell was nothing to us - if you've ever been to a farm or taken a road trip, you know the smell and it really was not a bother. Site 11 was perched on a little hill overlooking the entrance, a horse corral, and a few pens. The location was honestly unexpected at first but once we settled in, it turned out to be fantastic. There was ample shade through the day and it provided great views of the property and surround land. During our stay, the temperature reached the low 80s and fell to mid 50s with some winds and gusts during the day time. Down the hill was a portapotty which everyone used - it wasn't terribly dirty and didn't stink at all. The only thing we struggled with was bugs! Flies, spiders, beetles, and other creepier crawlies came to visit so be aware of your things. Overall a great stay, would definitely come again!
