Group camping
Our entire group loved tent camping at this amazing site. The view of the pond and all the greenery at the grounds was magical. The restrooms were clean and well lite. There were even mini solar lights leading the path from the fire ring to the restroom. Many deer stumbled upon our site and we could hear wild turkeys nearby every morning. There were electric outlets in the restroom and under the shaded structure so you don’t have to stress about your power banks loosing charge or not being able to straighten your hair. The fire ring had a lot of firewood available to burn for two nights. The canoe was available for our group to use during our stay. Our group was worried about showers not being available so we purchased a portable shower. The water temperature in the outdoor shower available was cold but it warmed up so we just placed the foldable shower we purchased through the shower head to get privacy. We had no issues during our stay and would definitely recommend this site. We drove through kings canyon and sequoia after our check out which was about a 40 min drive from the campsite to the north entrance.

The place is great, however, the instructions to get there were bad. The name of the camp listed is different then the actual name, when we got their the gate was closed and it says the host will greet you and show you to your site but the place was abandoned. We called and messaged the host but he didn’t answer until it was too late. We would love to go back but they need to update the instructions.

We got into camp pretty late coming from the coast. Getting up to the camp was a little challenging, but with our hosts help we got in with minimal headache. The location at the lake and the hospitality provided by Brian was excellent. I would highly recommend camping in this serene location!
