Unless there are multiple reservations, you will be allowed to hookup/stay at whichever site is the easiest for you to get parked at. While swimming is not permitted, the sight alone is a compelling reason to visit.

When to go

The best time to visit Blue Spring is during the spring and fall when the trail to the spring is a riot of wildflowers or a cascade of fall colors. Summer offers lush greenery, but be prepared for Missouri's humid weather. Winter visits can be serene, though some facilities may be less accessible.

Know before you go

Blue Spring is a day-use area, and overnight camping is not available on-site.
Swimming and wading are prohibited to protect the pristine condition of the spring.
The spring is accessible via a steep dirt road, not suitable for large vehicles.
From the parking area, a 1/4 mile trail leads to the spring, with an additional trail from Powder Mill Campground.
