This is a gorgeous park-like campground situated between the trees of the arboretum. Beautiful view of the mountains and forests here in western Washington. We are close to Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier and several lakes. There are walking trails all around the site. The 12 acre campground is located on a 136 acre property that is an active Christmas tree farm. Trails continue throughout the tree farm. Many trails have a view of the Tilton River, which can be reached via a challenging 3/4 mile trail. Sites are on 10 acres planted with many different species of trees that are about 30 years old. Giant Redwoods, Cedars, and Maples are just a few of the varieties present. Part of the farm is still a working Christmas tree farm. The trails are wide and grassy. The old logging road that we use as a trail to the river has an elevation change of about 500 feet, the trail can be quite challenging. Bear Creek empties into the Tilton river at the end of the trail. There is an ART GALLERY where you can learn to pound flowers, see the host's artwork and get a cup of coffee! This is upstairs above the shop, right on the property. Tilton River Studio Gallery. Three sites have electrical hookups. Every site has a water spigot (use a pressure regulator if you want to hook up). No restrooms or sewer hookups. Garbage disposal site available Memorial Day to Labor Day. We look forward to hosting you!

What a beautiful place. My wife and I walked 10 miles just exploring the well maintained property. The hike to the river is so worth it!!! We did crafts (flower pounding) with Barb as well as bought some yummy honey from their bees!! We loved it so much we have already booked for Aug! Thank you Barb and Terry!!

The Arboretum - Blue Site
Best in quiet, relaxing, camping
We absolutely love this place. All the sites are beautiful, and very well cared for. Barb and Terry are the friendliest, and kindest camp hosts. The whole property and camp sites are truly a gem. I highly recommend the arboretum and the honey! They bottle fresh, raw honey and it is delicious 😋 They have a beautiful art studio as well and I recommend setting up time with Barb for a tour of her amazing talents. We are looking forward to our next trip, this place is truly a sanctuary.

Book it without hesitation
We now understand everyone’s rave reviews about this place. We would absolutely come back. We highly recommend Barb‘s $20 pounded flower class. We spent a lovely two hours making incredible art pieces in her incredibly comfortable studio. We also bought honey from Terry from their local beehives and, what a treat that is. These are some of the kindest hosts we’ve encountered through Hipcamp. Someone else said it feels like staying in a public park and we agree. All of the rhododendrons and the grass pathways and camping areas. This is a fabulous Hipcamp option.
