Our property boasts dozens of trees over 100 feet tall, mossy rocks, lush vegetation, and a rainforest-like environment. The Salmon River is designated as a wild and scenic river, meaning that fishing is restricted by regulations. However, the river itself is stunning - cold, rocky, babbling, and 50 feet wide, with headwaters just up at the glacier on Mt. Hood. The Salmon River eventually flows into a confluence with the Sandy River a few miles downstream, and together they join the Columbia flowing to the Pacific.
In the summer, guests can enjoy swimming, tubing, and kayaking on the river. And, just a few miles away, you'll find one of the most beautiful national parks in the country! Year-round, the sound of the river provides a peaceful therapy, making our campsite an ideal spot for artists, readers, hikers, nature lovers, and pets (which are welcome off-leash). Normally quiet and isolated, on holiday weekends we have neighbors next door and across the river.
