Woody is our peaceful hilltop home nestled amongst the scenic hills in southeast Ohio between Hocking Hills State Park and Zaleski State Forest. Enjoy staying on a hilltop meadow filled with a mix of wildflowers and song birds. The meadow is surrounded by a tall mixed hardwood forest where campers are free to walk the mowed path through the woods. Come nightfall, you will be graced with some of the darkest skies in the state. On a clear moonless night, the milky way galaxy comes in to view and shooting stars are not an uncommon site. Choose between staying in the off grid school bus tiny home or the 20 foot "glamper" with outdoor kitchen. If you're lucky, our friendly black cat will grace you with his presence. Woody is located within 25 minutes of many of the areas attractions: 15 minutes to Ash Cave 18 minutes to Cedar Falls 17 minutes to Lake Hope 10 minutes to McArthur 25 minutes to Logan Here at Woody we honor our place in the natural world and are humbled by the beauty that surrounds us. We see ourselves as a part of nature and work towards having a deeper connection with the earth and our place in it by applying caretaker attitude and careful technological use and observation. Our mission is to leave bounty in our wake. Bus Campsite

Relaxing, great stay.

We came in for a short one night one day anniversary visit to hocking hills and Logan area and had a wonderful time. First try with hipcamp and we loved it. Tired of noisy state parks? Me too. The bus was very clean, great camp site set up and slept very comfortable. Property is very nice and quiet. Katherine was great and you can tell how much she really cares. Everything was set up for a stress free stay. Planning on coming back to the area in the fall with our daughter in tow.

Peppermint Patty Wagon

Took my girlfriend here for her birthday weekend, it was suppose to be for her healing and she picked out the site. She wanted to be closer with nature. Katherine and Austin were very welcoming, down to earth in passing conversation and kind. She put flowers in a vase for my gf. She loved them. The camper itself was really homie and creative. She made a binder about the property and things to do around the area, we both never been to a place where someone put so much heart into one of their rentals, it was refreshing for us. The set up outside for the kitchen area was amazing, it was everything you need and the decorating was the perfect touch to it. The fire pit is large and my gf took a liking to the rocking chair by the fire, she called dibs both nights. The environment day and night was quiet, peaceful. You could hear other animals from nearby properties, no city lights, just peace. The stars were bright and so many of them (for us city people). It’s like tent camping but in a camper (fyi to those who expect a fully functional camper) it’s good for those who want a good nature experience. We only wish the bathroom was closer. Otherwise we will be back again!! Gf left feeling mentally better, physically untense and smiling again. We both feel closer as a couple again as well. Their property is beautiful and has a garden and nature ways of doing things. Very close to hocking hills too.

Amazing stay

I absolutely loved everything about the Bus and the adorable homestead it's on. I cannot recommend this place enough. Will for sure be back!! The bus is clean and very well equipped. The fire ring and seating area was well maintained and very cute. We loves the goat and kitty visits as well

Cutest bus on Earth 🌍

My husband and I couldn't have been more pleased with our bus camping trip! The accomodations were pristinely clean, decorated beautifully, and full of personal touches added by Katherine, her partner, and their friends. The very sweet goat girly and kitty boy were our constant companions. The attention to detail was the most impressive. Clearly, a lot of thought, care, and consideration went into creating a space where guests can find their way back to peace. Situated on a beautiful parcel of land full of wildflowers, Woody Acres feels like a slice of paradise. Katherine and her partner are so welcoming and friendly. They have curated a truely special place to offer guests. I never want to stay anywhere else when travelling to Hocking Hills and will be coming back to stay again soon!

HOLYYYY CRAP I LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH!!!!! It’s so beautiful and comforting, and Katherine is the best host ever. My friends and I will definitely coming back sometime later this year.🩵🩵🩵🩵
