Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Urban Rock Farm is an Agritourism destination oasis hidden in the middle of Cincinnati Metro Area. Indulge your senses in the tranquil beauty of our dry camp spot along a rocky picturesque stream. Allow us to introduce you to our alpacas, llama, and chickens for a truly immersive experience at the farm. The 1865 Civil War era Bank Barn (currently under restoration) makes a picturesque backdrop to the views. Stay at our urban oasis, conveniently located inside of Cincinnati metro area, only 6 miles west of I-75 interstate, 10 miles from downtown, and close to city venues. Make Urban Rock Farm your temporary homebase while visiting Cincinnati. Our pull-in Dry camp spot can only accommodate a total vehicle length of 35 feet. We are sorry there are no exceptions due to terrain's maneuverability limits. The camp spot is 'off grid', suitable for fully contained campers.Site 1 is situated along the rocky creek that flows thru the property on a gravel pad within a couple acres of woods and pumpkin patches. Camper vehicles are required to be self contained as this site is " off grid", there are currently no bathroom amenities, no potable water, no electric, no internet and no hook-ups. Guest need to take their waste with them and leave no trace. A county park a few miles away does offer a dump site. Internet and potable water can be accessed on the farmhouse's front porch 1/8 of a mile away along the path. A fire pit and campfire wood is available for use at the site.

Creek Side Campsite
Camping and alpacas
The Creek Side Campsite was just as described! The stone parking area was well maintained and almost perfectly level. I parked with my sliding door facing the creek and had plenty of room for my table and chair and extended my awning. There are shade trees surrounding the parking area, though they were not fully leafed out yet. There is a large vegetable garden on the other side of the parking area from the creek giving a nice view of the growing crops. I was able to visit the alpacas and the llama, see the chickens and pet their cats. Cynthia explained a lot about the animals and you can tell how much she loves them and the farm. She was a very friendly host. She shared some of her fresh eggs with me so that I could make breakfast with them. The location is close to the highway and convenient for getting there and heading on my way the next day. There was some road noise, but it quieted when it got dark. It was a fun stay and everything around the farm was so beautifully green and lush!
