one of my favorite campsites on hipcamp! the lean-to kept me dry while it rained on and off, and the bath house with hot water for showers was a luxury after a long day of hiking in the smokies! the icing on the cake was having everything needed to make a fire provided, including pre-cut firewood of various sizes, a fire poker, a lighter, kindling, and gloves. i also appreciated the host for accommodating a last minute change with my reservation in order to stay a day earlier and for reaching out after i arrived to make sure everything was ok or if i needed anything. if you’re thinking about booking this site, do it!!

We enjoyed the privacy, location, hot water, endless firewood, and beautiful site. We were able to cook over the fire with the tripod provided. No need to bring a hammock…they have one ready for you. The driveway is steep but you will make it. Just keep going…don't stop. We brought our Sprinter van but will tent camp next time. It was a bit hairy getting that up and down the driveway. Perfect jumping off location for shopping and adventure. Woody and Renae have made this place an amazing place to stay. This was our first Hipcamp experience but this will be hard to beat. Drink the water!!!

Perfect Solo Camp!
Camping here was a dream! Tucked away in your own corner of the woods, you hear a little bit of road noise the occasional vehicle navigating the windy backwood lane that leads through the site. But since you're the last stop on the windy backroad you have the place to yourself.
When we arrived, Woody had the fire going and the camp lit up. It was so cozy to drive up to on a cold autumn afternoon.
Our pups loved it here as well. Plenty of space to romp!
The hot water showers so nice after a day of walking our legs off in the mountains. And we loved using the little 3 sided shelter for games late into the evening.
And hiking? So much to explore with multiple entrances into GSMNP and local National and State Forests. All were very convenient to get to from the site.
The ability to have your own little campground is unmatched. Free firewood and welcoming hosts. Every amenity you could want while still calling it camping! The only potential negative is that you can hear gun shots from this area. One of our dogs was super not a fan. But this wasn't every day and rarely lasted for more than an hour and has not deterred any of our group from coming back here next time we are in the area! 10/10

We had a 10/10 stay at Woody and Renae’s campsite. I can tell how much care they put into the site immediately upon arrival. Woody stopped by on our first day and provided some local recommendations.
The campsite has everything you might need on a camping trip - cooking tools, towels, shampoo, hammock, etc. They even have a spare toothbrush! The heated shower was a big plus for us and the shed was nice on rainy days.
Pro tip: Don’t stop while driving up the hill to the campsite.

Thoughtful details are all throughout this lovely camp. We enjoyed a hot steam shower, plentiful firewood, and privacy. We will definitely be staying here again!
