Perfect family camping.
This was a great spot for my family and our dog. Spent most of the day fishing on the lake and Philip was a great host who even brought wood and firepit to us after we were set up. I highly recommend this location.

Not a Campground
For those people unfamiliar with a Hipcamp, this isn’t for you. We were looking for a weekend camping trip. We ended up in someone’s backyard between their house and the neighbor. This is not a campground. It’s pretty out there, but if you’re looking to camp for fun, this is not it. We left early in the morning the day after arriving because it was uncomfortable. I would recommend making this clear during the planning/reservation process!

Level spot. Easy in & out with 35 ft truck & trailer. Philip & family pleasant & friendly.
The area was pretty, quiet & clean. Next time I'll bring my fishing pole to try out the pond. Neighbor's dog barked more than i preferred but it eventually stopped. I would definitely stay there again.

Camp by a pond with geese and guine
Philip was great. We booked less than an hour before we got there and Philip started our camp fire and greeted us at the road. Our granddaughter loved the geese and guineafowl.
The campfire area is on a bit of a hill, so a little uneven for camp chairs. Pull up a log instead.
The outhouse was serviceable, a toilet seat would make it good.

My husband and I enjoyed our time at Phillip's Hipcamp. The land was beautiful with a pond, mature trees, and peaceful sounds of nature. We had a good time fishing and watching the trees begin to change color.
