Sandwiched between the Homosassa River and the Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park, this property has unique features, including karst windows with bubbling fresh water, natural springs, and large, mature trees. Learn more about this land: Tucked along a narrow road, this unique site offers users direct access to the crystal clear waters of the south-east fork of the Homosassa River. Use our kayaks or bring your own to explore one of Florida’s Outstanding Waterways where you may meet a manatee, observe otters, find fish, or watch wildlife of all kinds. The site has direct access to Pepper Creek Trail, a 0.75-mile paved trail that is part of the Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park. While you’re there, swing into the state park to view the sparkling waters of the Homosassa head spring and meet all of the native wildlife ambassadors, including Florida panthers, black bears, endangered whooping cranes, and many other amazing animals. Interested in charter fishing, scalloping, or an ecotour? Your hosts are both professional, experienced charter captains. Avoid the crowds at the dock and step right onto the boat here! Ask for availability prior to your stay. The site is private and away from the hosts home, approximately 75-yards from the river, with electricity and water provided. There is no sewer hookup; restrooms and shower facilities are not available. If you plan on tent camping, please bring your own method to contain and dispose of solid toilet wastes. ***HURRICANE DAMAGE*** The small green building at the site sustained damage from Hurricane Idalia. We are working to repair the roof. It does not affect the campsite, however, it is unsightly and for that we apologize.Tucked along a narrow road, this unique site offers users direct access to the crystal clear waters of the south-east fork of the Homosassa River. It is a beautiful quiet spot. We went out on the river kayaking and saw some manatees. Kate, thanks for sharing your place with us.

Manatee Delight RV Camp Site
Absolutely perfect. So close to the crystal clear water. My kids were in heaven. The most private we’ve ever had, but still very close to civilization. Cell service (Verizon) was good enough. Backing in with our 33’ trailer + truck was tough, though. We would definitely come back!!!

Manatee Delight RV Camp Site
Absolutely hands down the best one we have stayed at so far. It felt isolated yet we were close enough to everything we needed. The access to kayaks are a very short distance over tho the area where the host lives. The only reason I can’t tell you about enjoying the water is because I am still recovering from knee surgery and limited on my mobility but we are definitely coming back! We never met the host in person but any questions we had prior to arrival were responded to quickly. All the information that is provided on the page is spot on. Make sure you can back up a trailer ( my hubby has CDL) it can be tricky. This is definitely a do over and we will bring grandkids next time.

What’s not to LOVE
What’s not to love. Private secluded campsite surrounded by green with walking access to the beautiful Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park and the beautiful Homosassa Springs River. We brought our own SUP but saw there were plenty supplies left by the host to utilize. Perfect spot to relax and unwind. We did get greeted by Florida’s state bird at dusk every night but we expected that and were prepared. The whole area just seemed laid back and chill. Was impressed to see Pop Fusions gourmet fruit pops selling on the River off a boat. Honestly the whole weekend was awesome. We will return.

Manatee Delight RV Camp Site
Absolutely amazing place! We enjoyed the privacy and easy walk to the crystal clear water. We saw several manatees, including mom and baby. Observing these amazing gentle creatures in this beautiful water was even more amazing than we hoped! Host is very kind and accommodating. We would love to return to this site. Only negatives were that it can be party cove on the weekends. The weekday was much calmer and peaceful. Also come prepared for mosquitoes. Other than that, it was perfection! One of our best camping trips ever.
