Farmhouse Field Campsites
Katie’s land was a perfect place to camp for a night. My partner and I were headed to Moab and needed a quick and easy spot to sleep for the night. Katie’s place was easy to find, she had great communication with responding to messages. She also had the friendliest donkeys that we got to hang out with the next morning!

People were great and the views were very nice. Jenny the donkey was a little sweetheart who came to visit. The trains didn't really bother us like some people have commented. The only issue was that it rained our second night and the mud was very sloppy and slick in the field. We can recommend this site in good weather, but would probably not if there's rain in the forecast.

Did not feel welcome and was told the donkeys are aggressive to dogs which I felt misleading since it says pet friendly. Due to first impressions did not end up staying.

Simple, easy stop with a grand view
Safe, easy. My mapquest did not take me to the gate, but fortunately they had a photo of their mailbox. I slept well. Loved the view. And I'm grateful when others open up their land! Thank you.

Camping with donkeys, near wineries
We loved visiting the wineries and farmers market in Palisade, and Katie's place is just a few miles away. We befriended the donkeys on her farm, as well. The view of Grand Mesa is beautiful. It was HOT in early August, but that's not the host's fault! 😊 would certainly stay at Katie's place again if camping near the Palisade area.
