Sticker nightmare
Apparentl we picked the wrong time of year to rent this site. The grass was dead and full of stickers.. it got in all of our clothes within minutes. It was everywhere, there was no place to set up unless you wanted to be waist high in stickers. Having our dog covered in stickers similar to foxtails isn’t an option. We reached out to the owner and his response was its primitive camping and we were out of luck. Still had to pay full price for 2 nights. Thankfully we were able to find other places to stay at Benny & Wyn campsite’s near Greer. If you reserve this spot & have kids or dogs you may want to ask about the condition of the grass. Pics from other times of year looked nice.

Beautiful campsite! My kids played in creek all day. We had a deer run through are camp at sunset both nights. Thanks for the stay :)

Large decomposing cow carcass
Camping next to the creek was pleasant, but this place is right next to a busy road with a lot of audible traffic noise. IMHO, for the price the host charges there should be at least a porta potty and picnic table. Also there is a large decomposing cow carcass which I practically stumbled over as I was exploring the creek area. We all know that death and rebirth are part of nature, but honestly it's disgusting to have to see something like that when I'm paying as much as the host charges. In traveling all across the country and staying in over 50 HipCamps, I can say that compared to other places this is overpriced.

It honestly wasn't what I expected. It turned out way better than originally thought. My kids and our friends made great memories here. We saw the horses and a deer passed through the site!

Scenic, too
Very scenic campsite, difficult to access. Reached out to the host a few days before my trip to clarify directions and didn’t hear back. There wasn’t really an address but there was a pin drop near a river. Arrived at the coordinates with no clue how to access the property. No signs, no evidence of a lavender farm, no further instructions from host. Called and texted host without answer. 45 mins passed trying to legally access this pin drop amongst private property with gates and no trespassing signs. I took a chance and drove up to a large farmhouse on a lot of acreage. The hosts son answered and said his dad was in london and he could help me get to the site. We drove behind their house and shortly after were stuck in the mud. The host called at that point and gave directions to the campsite. It was not actually accessible from their backyard. Make sure you hear from the host before you set out on your journey. The camping area is small, fenced off, facing lil colorado and a waterfall. It’s scenic but I wouldn’t do it again. The ground isn’t suitable for tent camping. Huge thorny weeds and uneven muddy ground throughout. With no amenities and no potable water this is not worth $70 a night.

We just got back from our camping trip at the Creekside Lavender Farm and absolutely loved how secluded the place was. We pitched our tent in the prairie, next to the creek. At night, we watched the lightenings from the first summer storm lit up the horizon at a far distance, gazed at the glowing sky from the strawberry moon and fell asleep to the sound of the waterfall. This was magical!
