Welcome to our beautiful, private, rustic camp situated along the bank of the North Fork Chena River just 55 miles NE of Fairbanks lies the perfect camping experience just 2 miles from Chena Hot Springs Resort.  

 We are located a 1/2mile off Chena Hot Springs Road, on the famous Yukon Quest Trail.

 Our camp is accessible to those exploring Alaska by vehicle, motorcycle, bike, truck camper,  travel van or small RV. Come stay in one of our cute cabins, park or pitch your tent under the midnight sun – enjoy fishing, hiking, atving, berry picking, wildlife watching and more.

We are a seasonal camp Open May 23, 2024 - August 16, 2024.

The Alaskan Experience

We grew up wandering these woods, foraging, and sleeping under the midnight sun.  We want to share Alaskan Experiences with you, and include gear to get you wherever your adventure takes you.Learn more about this land:Come enjoy our slice of heaven beautiful North Pole Alaska!  Stay onsite, or take our camping or backpacking gear to any of hundreds of locations we can recommend, or wherever you want!  We grew up living the Alaskan dream and want you to have the best Alaskan experience.   Our properties have no water, electricity, or restrooms.  You may camp anywhere between the signs, please respect our earth, pack out trash and either bury or pack out other waste.  This is Alaska, we share the forest with wildlife, please dont leave food unattended.

2 person backpacking setup.  

You bring food and clothes, we have everything else covered!  

The river is several miles down the trail and is a beautiful walk!

We rent our campsites by the week, and are very chill.  There is often a very friendly host onsite if you have any questions or need anything.  Gear must be returned when your reservation ends!

Forests, fields, and farmland...

Learn more about this land:We have 1100+ acers of land with most of it being forested, with some fields here and there.  Our working organic farm also plays host to many native animals including porcupines, squirrels, moose, hares, owls, grouse, wolves, coyotes, and occasionally a bear. If your looking for a place to get away from the city lights (and the light pollution) here is a good place to visit.

Learn more about this land:We as of right now can provide a 12x 12 wall tent, which will eventually be on a raised platform. 2 more to be added by end of summer 2021. We also offer a couple of flat areas were you can pop up your own tent or park your RV. We are centrally located between Fairbanks, North Pole and Chena Hot Spring Resort. We have fishing guide business and love to spend time in the great outdoors. We can offer advice on interesting things to do and see. Give us a call!!

Sven's Basecamp Hostel

Sven's Basecamp Hostel is a small hostel that's open to campers and travelers from all over the world. It is owned and run by Sven, who came to Alaska from Switzerland when he was 21. He has run the hostel for 9 years now and loves meeting people traveling to Alaska!Learn more about this land:Pitch your tent in our on-property forest! We have unlimited space for campers, and can't wait to meet you and hear your stories. We are a traveler's hostel with plenty of room for tent campers, so expect to meet people from all over the world. You will have access to 3 flush toilets, a sink area, coin-operated showers (25 cents per minute), a full kitchen with a stove, microwave, and refrigerators, and a community fire pit. We will also have an on-site coffee shop opening on July 1, 2021.

Sites are flat and dispersed. Pick a spot that looks good to you, and pitch your tent.

We have unlimited space for campers, just show up anytime before 10pm

In the summer, our woods are full of foliage, but you won't have to worry about bears here!
