Rail line is now gone but so much history remains.Preceding the Civil War Wayland Springs was known as a resort for health and pleasure. Word of mouth had people traveling great distances to come drink from our natural springs with the reputation of possessing valuable medicinal qualities. Nature provides groundhogs, deer, birds of prey and many others. Bass and trout laugh and feel safe from me. If you hike you’ll love this. We rappel down the bluff with a simple rope. The island could support volleyball or similar activities if so inclined.
