Camping close to Yosemite
We loved Mac's campground. Not only was the place very authentic and nice - with everything that you need with barbecue, table, bathroom, shower - but Mac was very welcoming and shared with us very nice tips to make the most of our stay at Yosemite. We recommend this place for sure!

It was ok
The sites aren’t numbered, they’re lettered B-K so that was weird. The ground was very wet and muddy, our 36’ RV almost got stuck. Says up to 40’ but I wouldn’t recommend something that big, maybe up to 32’. Also it’s pretty close to the road but not much traffic

I loved the cabin and the scenery. Mac was very nice and helpful especially if we needed help with anything. The bathrooms were clean and they provided essentials if needed. So that was a plus. Thank you looking forward to staying here again 😊

We had such a fun, fulfilling trip!
We planned a *very* last-minute camping trip for a few days before the New Year. We ended up booking a tent spot here at Mac’s place.
Risky, since it’s cold weather, and rain forecasted for the near future. But hey, we were committed.
It ended up being a really fun trip! We drove into Yosemite one day, which took about 35-30 minutes to get to the gate, then spent hours inside.
Mac stopped by and met us on the first night. Super friendly, and accommodating!
The tent space we chose was perfect. It was by one tree, but pretty exposed so we could see the stars. It was beautiful.
Bathroom was really clean and I was surprised and pleased to have warm water in the mornings to rinse my face.
Try even have a little kitchen with accessible utensils and things to use! Really cool place!
We also saw lots of deer, turkeys, and quails :)
Overall great experience. Highly recommend! We will likely book here again in the future when we decide to come back this direction!
