Our friendly site is perfectly positioned to enjoy the highlights of the stunning Snowdonia National Park. Set on the banks of the River Glaslyn, Cae Du is the perfect beauty spot to relax and unwind whilst also being an adventurer's paradise. The local area is shrouded in Welsh history and folklore including the mythical legends, Gelert the Hound, and the two dragons of Dinas Emrys. It is less than a mile walk along the River Glaslyn to the picturesque stone-built village of Beddgelert with a choice of pubs, cafes, and craft shops. Within walking distance to the award-winning family attraction, Sygun Copper Mines, as well as the enchanting water of Llyn Dinas. Cae Du is a walker's paradise with glorious and abundant trails both from the site itself and just a short drive away. After a full day of adventure, set up camp with a well-deserved BBQ followed by a fire to roast your marshmallows.

Electric Grass Pitch U1

We're not really experienced campers but decided to buy a tent and give it a go to give us a new summer activity! Camp Cae du was amazing, very clean, great facilities, fantastic views and very friendly staff! As for the pitch itself U1, we really lucked out, it was a large patch of grass with just 1 pitch so plenty of space all to ourselves, also a small wall behind which helped shield the campfire from wind, close to the amenities and a great spot to catch the sun into the late evening, where as the other campers opposite were in the shade long before we were! Would 100% visit again, fantastic campsite!

Amazing scenery, great facilities and incredibly clean. So close to the village, just a short walk along the river. Highly recommended.

A great campsite in an amazing spot

Perfect campsite walking distance from Beddgelert, the location is perfect in the valley with views across Snowdonia. There's also a nice circle walking route which goes alongside the campsite to the lake and through the hills that I'd recommend. Staff were helpful and really nice, ended up extending. Facilities were also great, only thing if I'm picky is a heater in the shower block for the colder months.
