Learn more about this land: Tucked into the forest, this campsite is surrounded by tall cedars, birch, pines, and firs. It is isolated and a short walk to the North Thompson River.  Only a short drive to Wells Grey Park where you can hike, fish, and explore the park. This is a dry site, so you need to bring your own drinking water, but you can grab some water from the creek for washing up. Great site! Shelagh was very prompt in replying and everything went seamlessly. Just a heads up, this is a site in the middle of the bush, so if you are camping for the first time alone, just be aware that there isn't anyone else nearby. Absolutely beautiful spot to Stargaze

Tent Forest Campsite #1
This site was an amazing little get-a-way from the hustle and bustle. The road is a little bumpy but I was easily able to manage it in my sprinter van no problem. The new outhouse is gorgeous and the small private beach by the bright blue river was a once in a lifetime experience. Would definitely stay here again in the future, especially with a few friends or a larger group! The site is 100% private during the afternoon/evening, which as a solo traveler got a little freaky but would be awesome with a group/if that is what you are looking for. In the morning, a few work trucks headed to some jobs down the same shared road drove by but otherwise did not see anyone while out there!

Great host!
Unfortunately we didn’t get to stay here because our Volkswagon golf is too low riding and doesn’t have a belly plate, to make it through the potholes on the way in. But any vehicle with a little more lift would be just fine! Shelagh was great to communicate with and answered all my questions. She even gave us a refund which was unexpected and welcomed.

Beautiful campsite. Very private. Riverside beach is beautiful and only a short walk. Highly recommend.
