Commonplace Vasse is a Private Members Initiative set on the Southstoke private farm estate in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Five minutes from calm, pristine turquoise beaches and Vasse and Busselton city centres, yet secluded on 40 acres completely away from the world. www.commonplacevasse.com Outside of our community activities and events, we open up our property from time to time to welcome campers to come and enjoy our property and facilities. Camping spots are available in a variety of locations on the property to suit all needs -- 1. Budget friendly options on Front Green + Back Paddock 2. Accessible-friendly options (on gravel / carpark) WITH TOILET ACCESS 3. Secluded scenic nature options (set in the Olive Grove, overlooking the wetland / plantation, at the private back-half of the property) 4. Full Powered Site(s) with Ablution facilities (shower, toilet, washing machine) options. SAT + SUN we open up our Main Hall to campers as well (the black shed at the front of the property) - with barista made coffee available from local coffee producers ($5 donation), an extensive library with classical furniture and conservatory style gardens, we also have Award Winning Olive Oil for sale for $15 for guests, as well as various products such as organic, wild-foraged regeneratively farmed fresh eggs (you can include in your booking to have for your breaky!) and chicken meat and fresh milk from Camilla the cow! Subject to availability. We are 3 families, with small children -- Raf + Sarah, with a 4 + 6 year old. Sam + Cleo, with a 2 year old. (+ Liz + Justin, with a 3 + 5 year old staying with us too!) We have a number of friendly dogs on the farm - Henry, Max, Chopper and BeeBee who may visit you. We are pet-friendly, however your dogs / pets must be friendly too (and not roaming), and fine with wildlife / other farm animals. Quiet camping only - no parties (unless prior arranged). Events can be catered for, however notice and agreement is required first. Excessive noise and disruption will not be tolerated otherwise. Neighbours must be respected. Unless booking a Site with Toilet / Ablution Access - ALL visitors must be completely self-contained (BYO toilets and leave with waste, etc). There are no dump points on site, however there are some nearby in Vasse and Busselton - which are both 5-7 minute drives. Please be prepared to "LEAVE NO TRACE". Absolutely NO toilet paper in the bushes, okay. APPROVAL REQUIRED BEFORE USING FIRES. The fire ban has now been lifted for this region, however after a prolonged drought and warm autumn / winter, we are still on high alert for fire danger and guest must discuss with us their intentions to use fire-pits / BBQs etc first.

Budget friendly - The Back Paddock
We loved our stay at Commonplace camped up in our van. Very spacious area with beautiful trees. The cows were a delight, as was the morning coffee, fresh eggs and olive oil. Raf and Sarah were super welcoming. Highly recommend!

Lovely child friendly spaces to exp
We had a lovely relaxing holiday at Commonplace, Raf and family were wonderful hosts, very friendly and helpful. The property was interesting for the kids to explore and there was plenty of space for the van. We will definitely be back!

Budget friendly - The Back Paddock
Due to the weather forecast, we had to cut our trip short and didn't have the opportunity to stay at Commonplace, but were very impressed with Raf and the proactive and friendly notes sent prior to our visit. We look forward to staying with them as part of our next trip down South!

The host communicated very well and was quite helpful. The site didn't look exactly as advertised, and there was only one toilet/shower. We could only find one stand on even ground. Biggest criticism is that the Bathroom doesn't have a closeable window, only a large opening. When we wanted to use the shower, it was a cold, windy, and rainy day, so we decided not to use it.

Beautiful farmland that Raf and his family have set up and prepared space for campers to stay on. Friendly dogs and animals are very fun. And they have a wonderful toilet shower spot just in case you don’t want to fully rough it. Added options of coffee and olive oil from their main production warehouse is awesome. Didn’t take advantage this time but will try in the future. Would visit again.
