Heaven on Earth. We must be the luckiest people alive to have somehow become the owners of this property which is only a short drive from the breathtaking Wilsons Promontory. The property has an abundance of temperate rainforest including massive gum trees, 6m tall tree ferns, permanent spring fed creeks, our own lake and more Australian wildlife than most zoos*. Living here, we feel like we're on holiday every day of the year. Camping sites are situated at the back of the property just a quick 5-minute walk from the car park. We'll transport your gear to your campsite so you can get set up quickly and start exploring the property or just kick back and relax. The three campsites are positioned so that you won't hear a sound from any other campers on the property. You will feel like you've got the whole place to yourself. And even though the campsites are isolated you'll still enjoy the convenience of clean regular flushing toilet facilities. But unlike any toilet you'll have used before, you'll get to enjoy a our unique loo with a view which is situated right amongst the rainforest looking out over the magestic tree ferns! Whether you intend to simply relax and listen to all the birdlife, grab a few drinks and head up to the viewing deck to watch the sunset, or put on your hiking boots and explore the rainforest, whatever you do, you will truly get back to nature. As one guest said, "I literally wanted to hug a tree". So what are you waiting for, come and hug one of our trees**. * comparison made with zoos that don't have many Australian animals ** please ensure you have the tree's consent first ;)Set amongst 40 acres of native temperate rainforest, if you feel like getting back to nature then this is for you.  With no vehicle access to the campsites, the only thing you'll hear is the chorus of native birds that call our property home. We'll cart your gear to your site while you enjoy the 5-minute walk and start exploring amongst our 5 permanent creeks, our very own multi-level waterfalls, our picturesque lake, and vegetation like our 6 metre tall tree ferns and massive gum trees.  While you're here expect to come across all kinds of wildlife, such as kangaroos, sugar gliders, wombats, wallabies, echidnas, native birds, even deer that roam the property, and if you're really lucky Trevor our resident koala will make an appearance - keep an eye out for him in the big Gumtree in our front yard as you arrive. If you would rather relax then simply grab a comfy chair and your favourite beverage and kick back amongst the trees and ever-present sounds of native birds while you take in the views. Regardless of whether your feeling active or lazy, we highly recommend that you book the viewing platform at the top of the "big hill" during your stay. On the night of your platform booking we'll deck it out with custom made cushions so all you'll need to do is grab a few drinks (or if your feeling fancy you can hire our portabar) and settle in as you enjoy the 360 views of the surrounding countryside and bushland in comfort and style. We promise you your jaw will drop as you watch the sunset over the hills in the distance! The sunset viewing platform is definitely an experience you won't forget in a hurry. IMPORTANT: These are walk-in only tent campsites, so not suitable for RV's, rooftop tents etc. They're situated at the back of the property, a 5-minute walk from the car park. We'll transport your gear to your campsite via quad bike and trailer. We're happy to accommodate two trips per booking to cart gear to the campsites which more than sufficient for almost all campers. Campers will will be charged $10 for any additional trips, so be mindful not to bring any redundant camping gear (note that the sites are not powered so 50" flat screen TVs are an example of redundant gear).

Mountain Life Nature Stay
Stay at this place.
Such a pretty, secluded and quiet place, with all the amenity one could hope for, and such lovely gracious hosts. All the world really needs is people like Chris and Kelli. Very best of luck to them! Go check out their place - it's great for chilling and hanging with the doggie. Just make sure to take care of the wildlife (wallabies, wombats, sugar gliders, possums, echidnas, and a whole lot of lovely birds). There are also cows, and goats for patting. It's a major win. We especially enjoyed the views and the privacy, lounging on the lake pontoon in the sunshine, and also just walking the muddy track (lots of cool fungus in April - but don't bring your fave shoes, and also it's probably not suitable if you have a walking disability or do not have basic fitness (not good post-surgery for example, but I imagine the hosts would drive you if needed (they drove us!))).

Chris was such a nice guy, very helpful person. He even helped us when we had a flat tyre, he changed it by himself with his own tools. And the place we stayed on Chris land was amazing. The stars we saw there was mind blowing. Very quiet and nice place with beautiful views all around with hills and lake on a side. I’d love to stay there again.

Mountain Life Nature Stay
Private spot amongst nature.
Our stay at mountain life was filled with lovely sounds of nature and delights of greenery. Chris and Kelly were friendly and helpful. It’s great they allow dogs off lead. We didn’t feel the listing was quite as described. We thought we would have access to a tap and water. Chris was good with supplying a 10litre container each day and some bottled water but that didn’t go far amongst four. Would suggest bringing your own water as well. The description of the walk in is accurate. Make sure you’ve got good boots that can get dirty if it’s been raining. Some sites are quite sloped so see if you can request the flat site. The flushing toilet was appreciated. Wandering the land was also delightful. We can see the potential and wish Chris all the best with the vision.

Secluded and private escape
This is a lovely spot - a secluded and private escape. My friends and I were looking for a remote camping experience in luscious bushland, with great views, and this place delivered. Also had a fun ride on the quad bike to and from the site. Our host, Chris, was super helpful and friendly, sharing tips and fully responsive to our questions and needs. Would happily return.

Mountain Life Nature Stay
My two young kids and I had a great time at Mountain Life Flower Farm. The campsite is beautifully nestled between the rainforest, and very far away from the main house, which was nice for privacy (and the bathroom has a spectacular view). Chris, the host, went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Looking forward to coming back.

Perfect rustic getaway
Loved it! Chris’ place was in a lovely spot, in pretty wooded hills along a pretty drive. Chris was very obliging, providing some camp stove fuel when we ran out. We enjoyed being away from the car, which was parked 10 minutes walk away from the camp spot. Also nice to have neighbours nearby but out of sight and earshot. We also appreciated the flushing toilet. We’d have struggled driving the dirt road in our family sedan if it had been much wetter but we were lucky with the weather. The eggs were lovely and the portabar a great fun extra to order. We’d recommend it and would happily return.
