Escape to our large acreage of pure bliss where you can pitch a tent or park your convoy of caravans. Whether it be on the banks of the glorious Ovens River, or situated on the blocks unique billabong. This property boasts both excitement and practicality- located just minutes from Wangaratta CBD, whilst still being secluded like you’re miles away from anything. Light a fire in your sites very own fire pit and bring your furry friends! All dogs are welcome provided you clean up after them, and they are well behaved as there are cattle on neighbouring properties (and sometimes ours), so please restrain if likely to cause trouble The ovens river is the perfect versatile adventure playground whether you’re throwing in a line, kayaking down the stream or just sun bathing in a floaty - Camp Ovens has it all

King of the North the Ovens River
Such a lovely spot, had the area to ourselves with a great sandbar and the owners Peter and Paul made sure we were happy with everything. We will definetly be going back. Lovely people.

Pipers Point on the Ovens River
Riverside Bush camping
Peter and Paul were great hosts. They gave the campsite a fresh mow before our arrival. Provided us with a fire extinguisher to have near our camp fire, and were always offering to top up our water. The campsite itself is shaded under river gums and right on the ovens river. Firewood everywhere you turn. Pack you kayaks and bikes. City of Wangaratta is only and hour paddle via the river or 15 minutes by bike.

King of the North the Ovens River
Our extended family group really enjoyed our stay camping on Peter’s land. The river was great for swimming and playing in. It was nice to have a whole area just to ourselves. Peter was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay - including wood for the campfire.

On The Billabong
Camp Ovens is a wonderful property. Peter is the most friendliest of hosts, he went out of his way to make sure they we had everything we needed for our stay. Highly recommend a stay at Camp Ovens
