Billabong Flats Farm is a 100 Acre property enhanced by 1km of King River access in the heart of Wangaratta, North East Victoria. It has an abundance of birdlife including Kookaburras, Kingfishers, Blue Wrens, Cormorants and many types of water birds. The property is in a fantastic location to the Wangaratta township as it is only 1.5 kms drive into town to get all your supplies if required including, Aldi, Woolworths, Coles, Dan Murphys, Kmart, Camping Stores, Petrol Stations, Cinema, Bowling Alley and the wonderful choice of Hotels, Restaurants and Take away options if required. It is surrounded by picturesque green countryside laden with ancient Red Rivergum Trees and billabongs with access to river frontage for fishing and one area has a swimming hole for those hot summer days. The river is ideal for swimming, tubing, floating and fishing. Choose either to relax with a book and a glass of wine and do nothing or go and explore the many attractions of the wonderful North East area including the beautiful King Valley, Beechworth, Bright, Yarrawonga and Rutherglen plus many other gorgeous areas that have Art Trails or Silo Art Trails, all of which are 30-60 minutes drive from the property. Billabong Flats Farm sites are very spacious with each section private from other Campers with a fire pit provided plus an abundance of open area for recreation for kids and dogs to run around. The Swimming Hole Bush Camp is an extra large riverside bush campsite that could accommodate a large group of Vans (10 at least). It has a designated fire pit and Campers will need to have own Toilet/Shower amenities and be and leave no trace behind when leaving us. Accessible for most types of vehicles. Dog friendly if well behaved and controlled and won't chase the Cattle. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place, firewood for sale (see Extras). We are close to the region’s attractions including 15mins drive to Brown Brothers Winery in Milawa, many Lookouts and National Parks, Lake William Hovell, Restaurants, Wineries and Distilleries of this special area.

King River Swimming Site

Beautiful surroundings

We enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and peace and quiet. Beautiful large trees, fire pit, great hospitality from Kerryn and John. Close to town and a short drive to surrounding towns. Highly recommend. What a great place to experience our first Hipcamp with our dog.

A great spot to stay next to the river it was a beautifully maintained camp site. Kids had a great time fishing.

Secret Island River View Site

Very clean and tidy campsites. Love the fire pit and being able to get firewood for a small fee. Host was very welcoming and friendly. The host took us to our site, but directions and signs would have made it easy to find without a guide. Nice sucluded site with easy access to the king river. Loved the place will go again

Riverside Campsite

Great spot!

My first adventure with the girls ( doggos) and the Bongo bus and Kerryn’s place was perfect, privacy, great space to run and for me to relax into my new adventures

White Cedar River View Site

Picture perfect location. So close to town but also so quiet. The great open area that also gives you great view of the stars and the moon on those clear nights. John and Kerryn hospitality was amazing, so welcoming and check in on everyone to see how there stays have been. All sites look amazing, highly recommend this place to anyone who wants peace and quiet but also be close to town if you need anything.

Riverside Campsite

We loved camping here! Beautiful bush with river. Campfire set up was great. John took us to our site. Lots of space for kids to ride their bikes. They even got to pat Red the horse! Great spot, thanks for having us Kerryn and John.
