A great place to base yourself if you want to ride the trails at Derby and explore the area.
Rosie welcomed us with a freshly picked pumpkin and was very friendly and helpful.

Great location, kids loved playing in the river. Nice and sunny in the morning. Loved it so much we extended our stay an extra 2 nights.

What a beautiful spot to camp. So peaceful and relaxing. We had loads of fun with the kayaks. Great access to the bike track leading into Derby. Plenty of nice dry firewood. Our host, Rosie was lovely.

Camping with kids
Fraser flats was a beautiful and peaceful spot to stay. The creek was a massive hit with the kids, trying their hand at kayaking and fishing. We got to see the resident platypus having a swim too! The kids also loved the tractors and tyre swing. So much room for the kids to run, explore and ride their bikes.
Rosie provided us with fire wood (free of charge!) for us to have a camp fire and even came and gifted us some freshly picked apples off her tree.
The communication and directions Rosie gave us were spot on. This camp spot was perfect for our short trip, over the 3 nights we got to explore Mt Paris Dam, St Columba Falls, Little Blue Lake and the Derby tunnel.
The camp sites were VERY generous. This site is perfect if you don't want to be cramped in with 1000 other travellers.

Derby Fraser Flats 1
Excellent campsite and located clos
Great location, easy to access, nice flat area with plenty of space. The river is beautiful and within 10 minutes from the centre of Derby. We were there for our first Blue Derby Mountain bike ride. even through the town was busy, at our campsite we felt like we were the only ones around.
