We have 20 acres at picturesque McLaren Vale, backing onto the Onkaparinga Gorge National Park. Set up camp on our open field and enjoy sea views and fantastic sunsets, as well as spot local wildlife from your camp chair, including kangaroos and many native bird species. The National Park has numerous walking trails to explore, and we are only a few minute's drive away from many wineries, local shops, restaurants and local beaches. It's an ideal base camp to explore this popular region. All campers must be self-contained, with their own camp toilet and we kindly ask you to take all waste when you go. Pet friendly! You are welcome to choose a spot on our 20-acre property to set up your self-contained camp. Many spots with great views, including ocean views, lights of Pt Noarlunga and Seaford at night and fantastic sunsets. Campfires are permitted when conditions allow, and local restrictions are not in force. BYO available. Pet friendly. Campers must have their own camp toilet. Outstanding Campsite & Host
Darren is a wonderful host and goes out of his way to ensure his campers are happy and understand what he offers. We only went overnight on our first camp at Darren's, but we are planning to go back for a two night camp latter this month. We had two Hungarian Vizslas that loved the campsite. We didn't use the shower because we have our own in our camper, but Darren's is one of the best we have seen. There are lots of kangaroos to watch in their natural environment. Keep up the great work Darren. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Roz, Craig, Odin & Eva

Helpful host, good location close to wineries. Sites are sloping but ramps available to level up. Good spot to view a sunset.

This was my first time camping solo. Great location less than an hour from Adelaide but feels quiet and rural. Wonderful views over toward the coastline and the sunset was beautiful! Darren checked in with me as I picked out a site and after I was settled in to make sure everything was ok. The other sites were booked as well but everyone was far enough apart that it was essentially my own quiet getaway. In the dead of night you could hear the faint sounds of a wedding band playing at a nearby winery, but it was not loud enough to disturb and you had to focus to hear it.

Dog enjoyed his stay
I’m fairly local so wasn’t there for visiting the wonderful wineries or beautiful beaches, I was just there to test out my new motor home off grid. Darren was very helpful and accommodating as were fellow campers in helping me iron out any problems I found. My dog had the best time there and was free to run around and play with the other dogs. We were allowed camp fires and enjoyed watching the setting sun over the sea and watch the twinkling lights of suburbia in the distance.
