Burra Creek Camping in Bright is an incredibly beautiful, rustic 5000-acre property, situated 25km North of Robertstown, just over 2 hours from Adelaide. It's suited to those with 4x4 or higher clearance vehicles, and off-road campers/caravans and tents. The camping sites here are very private, and provide large flat areas to set up. All have beautiful surroundings and views. The land here is spectacular. From morning light accompanied by birdsong, to days spent exploring the creek and the bush, to stargazing and toasting marshmallows by night, the land here offers the perfect antidote to modern-day stresses. There is (wonderfully) limited phone service here, meaning it's the perfect place for a digital detox! Two of our campsites have very basic outback long drop toilets (Wombat Flat and Creek Site), but for all other sites, campers need to be fully self-contained. It's you and nature. Therefore we ask that you please ensure the place is left as or better than you found it. All rubbish and waste to be taken with you. Important Information to know before booking: Check-in must be before 8pm. If you are unable to arrive before 8pm, please book for the following day instead. Plenty of fallen timber around you are welcome to collect for firewood, however, strictly no chainsaws or cutting down of trees. And strictly no motorbikes, firearms, or rally driving on the property. Pets are allowed, as long as they are controlled.

Eastern Creek
Eastern Creek Camping
This time we stayed at the Eastern Creek site which is absolutely gorgeous. The camping area is level so it's perfect for setting up, and the surrounding area is pristine with plenty of firewood. The view from the camping area is of beautiful gum trees and red cliffs along the creek... so peaceful and perfect for a getaway. The sites are far enough away from each other you don't interact with anyone but your own group. Trish the host, couldn't have been more helpful and answered all my queries in lightening time. We will definitely be back as it's so close to Adelaide for a quick getaway but I have to admit a weekend is never long enough!

Eastern Creek
Lovely spot amongst the Red Gums, plenty of wood and nice and quiet to enjoy the campfire and just soak up some time away from the city rush. Different spot to where we stayed last time and different time of the year but just as nice. Thanks to Trish and Peter - we will be back again

Wombat Flat
Wombat Flat
We had a great weekend at Wombat Flat! Big beautiful spots to camp, amazing creek bed to explore, heaps of birds and wildlife (wombats included) Plenty of firewood for the chilly nights we had. Trish and Pete provided easy to find directions and plenty of communication which is always appreciated when staying somewhere new. 5 out of 5 stars from us. 😄

Creek Campsite
I was very lucky to have spent two nights at Burra Creek Camping (Creek campsite)! Despite being very dry, the site was beautiful. Trish was very friendly, helpful and great with directions. The property is stunning, and Burra Creek is great for a walk amongst the redgums - highly recommended ☺️
