Welcoming you to our 100 acre horse property nestled in the Glasshouse Mountains, with a creek and a lake. Featuring a mix of pine and natural forest, this off grid campsite has a lovely flat space for camping. Drinking water and toilet amenities are available, and we welcome well behaved dogs on leashes as well as a place to stay for your beloved horse (please note an additional horse facility fee will be charged). 🐴***We also offer a variety of horse riding experiences that can be selected and added to your booking at checkout***🐴 The Glass House Mountains are found in the hinterland of Queensland's Sunshine Coast. They are about a one-hour drive south of the Sunshine Coast's main hub, Noosa, or an hour north of the state's capital city, Brisbane. The region is a natural playground of walking tracks, horse trails and abseiling locations, the mountains are also home to six small townships, linked by rail and country roads. Please note there is highway noise at this site.

Fantastic stay!
We loved camping at Wild Horse Retreat. It's got a great wilderness feel, where you can hear the crickets and see the stars at night. Michael was a great host, he was very helpful and friendly. He answered our call when we got lost en route, and helped us to our spot when we arrived. Seeing the horses roam around was very cool! Michael's dog Sam came and sat with us while we had breakfast outside of our camper in the morning, a very sweet and gentle dog! We would really recommend this for anyone staying in the area.

A beautiful quiet spot that’s not too far way from things you may need. The horses were beautiful and friendly, visiting the camp, as well as the cute farm dog. Camping on the creek was a delight to wake up to in the morning, hearing the water trickle from the swag. Thanks for the stay, definitely recommend 👍

Wild
A nice big block of land with so much space to set up and feel like you have your own slice of heaven. The dog is awesome and super friendly, the horses are beautiful. It was a bit wet so make sure to have a tarp and i would recommmend bringing firewood to ensure you have a good fire! The pits are great!!
