Great place to camp and close to Esk. Everyone had plenty of room, the camp kitchen was really quaint and well stocked. The dam was great relief as the weather was so hot. David came and checked on us after we got rained out to make sure we were okay and to let us know there was no hurry to vacate.

An absolute gem of a location. We will definitely be back. Campsites were spacious, loved swimming in the dam. So close to town but far enough away from reality.

Really good find. We our whole spot to just our group, not over crowded at all, perfect getaway. The dam was so nice to swim in and the communal areas are so nice, even a weber in the camp kitchen. Toilet was clean and close. Really nice gardens and maintained lawns. Easy communication. Will be back :)

David’s property is beautiful and peaceful, exactly what we needed on our way home from a big trip to Melbourne to pick up our new hybrid. The camp kitchen and communal area next to the dam is just beautiful, well set up, even though we didn’t use these facilities we definitely thought they were impressive. We will definitely be back!

What a beautiful spot! We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at The Pines with our dog. The amenities were clean and the dam was perfect to cool down in. Esk is about a 5 minute drive from the location which is great if you’re looking to eat out or need to grab some supplies from the local grocer. Would recommend this campsite and we will definitely be back in the future!

David was a dream host. So welcoming on arrival and helpful throughout our stay. The property was absolutely gorgeous with an outdoor kitchen, bathroom and sitting area. The sunset hitting the lake was stunning and our dog loved jumping off the pontoon into the lake. Will definitely be coming back!

Awesome place to camp. Dam was an awesome place for the kids to play and camp kitchen was immaculate. Great for dogs and the kids enjoyed feeding llamas and the pony. 10/10

This was absolutely the best place we have camped. Right from the start the hosts were hospitable and went out of their way to accommodate. The grounds were immaculate and so many little touches that made it so special. You could not ask for a better campground ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We loved Sandy Creek, from David welcoming us upon arrival, the ambiance of the area which is beautifully maintained to the ease of directions that were sent to us prior to arrival, we thoroughly recommend Sandy Creek and our host David.

We stayed at The Pocket site, a private area overlooking a gorge with lush vegetation. The mostly level sites are well-maintained with pretty garden areas which add to the property's visual appeal. The camp kitchen is well-equipped, and seating areas provide a view of the dam. A great place to take dogs and wake up to the sound of lots of birdlife. Despite the hot weather, the shade from trees and steady breeze made it pleasant. There are plenty of walking opportunities that are probably best left for cooler days. David and his wife are very welcoming. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

Five stars! What a beautiful pleasure it was staying here. Very well cared for land. Amenities tip top and the camp kitchen was very clean and just put together beautifully 👌would be perfect for families and my dogs loved it. Will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay at Sandy Creek Esk Camping's Bear's Rest site tremendously. After a warm welcome, our friendly hosts showed us around and let us choose our spot. We had a hard time deciding, as they all looked tempting. By the water? Or under the Eucalyptus trees? The sites are flat, with shade and grass and privacy, lots of birdsong and very quiet at night. A peaceful spot in the middle of nature, only 3km from Esk, which is a really cool country town. It was our second camping night ever in Australia, and we'll keep wonderful memories of it, wishing we had more time to spend there.
