The sites are level pastured camping areas with lovely trees providing good shade alongside the river. We have tried to preserve the natural ecosystem on the river bank so it is heavily wooded and largely untouched. The total area for camping is approximately 500 metres with only four sites spaced far apart to ensure plenty of space and privacy. Each site has very easy access to the river. You can enjoy swimming and kayaking in the river. Fishing is welcome when permitted but must be catch and release only. There is plenty of wildlife to see, especially for bird watchers: kingfishers, parrots and birds of prey as well as platypus, air breathing lungfish and Mary River turtles. There is a central common area with a large fire pit for all to gather around if you would like. There is currently a good pile of firewood available for campers to enjoy for $5 (per night) into the honestly box please. Access is 4WD or AWD only. In severe weather the Mary River can flood. Be prepared to leave in extreme weather. Campers must be self sufficient with their own camping toilet and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Pets are welcome.

Site 4 - Mary River Frontage Camp
Gordon is an absolute legend. Greeted us at the house on the way in. Gave us easy to follow directions. Camp sites are well spaced and flat. Plenty of wildlife about, we went for a fish and there's heaps going on in the river. We will definitely be back

Site 2 - Mary River Frontage Camp
We had the best time away! Was a beautiful spot right on the river. Nice a quiet. Our daughter loved seeing the cows and we all loved going down to the river and just relaxing at our camp site. Gordon and Rachel were both amazing. Thank you for having us!

Site 3 - Mary River Frontage Camp
I had a wonderful time camping at Gordon & Rachel’s land. The creek nearby is picturesque and the site is remarkably quiet, making it perfect for a peaceful getaway. At night, the sky lit up with countless stars, providing an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend for those seeking a tranquil retreat in nature.
