Best glamping: Finalist
Named one of the best Hipcamps to visit in 2023.
Perched in the rolling hills of the High Country Hamlets, 543 metres above sea level and just under a 2 hour drive from Brisbane is Boho Cartel Retreat & Glamping. We are on a beautiful 78 acre property near the charming township of Crows Nest and currently operate one luxe bell tents. Perfect for a romantic getaway Our luxurious bell tent comes with all the trimmings including a real queen bed (no air mattresses here!) and linen included. The bell tent caters for two guests. There is access to a rustic bathroom with instant hot shower (fresh towels provided) and a separate composting toilet. We also provide eco (zero co) shower gel and cleaning products. The camp kitchen offers a large sheltered undercover area for you to prepare and eat your meals and has a fridge, solar power, BBQ, arm chairs, table and chairs for meals, and a sink. There are also board games and coffee table books for those rainy (or lazy) afternoons. Make yourself comfortable in the kitchen with our range of complimentary herbal teas, ground and instant coffee and hot chocolate. We also have olive oil, sauces, condiments and mixed herbs for your cooking pleasure! We provide all crockery, cutlery, glasses, mugs and cooking utensils so no need to bring your own. There is so much to do in the local area - explore the stunning natural beauty of the nearby National Park and lakes, dine in or take away at one of the local cafes or eating establishments or enjoy a drink and a feed at the great local pub! There is also a winery with a cellar door and a gin/vodka distillery, both of which offer tastings. There are also excellent local craft and farmers markets (date dependent). Did I mention the local bottle shop, IGA, petrol station and the butcher are just a 10 min drive from us?

Site 1 - Boho Cartel Retreat & Glamping
We had a nice time but it is quite rough around the edges. It was very very cold and windy which is no one's fault. The tents were nicely decorated and the hot water bottles and bedding kept us toasty. Other than sitting in the tents playing games and reading there isn't much else to do. Would be nicer in the summer. The pit toilet was fine and what we expected. The shower was 37 degrees at maximum but fine. I wouldn't have been comfortable sharing the site with others as there is a big crack where the people in the kitchen can see into the shower. It would be nice to have some nice shampoos etc. There was a drawer with random sample bottles of stuff that appeared half used. Also a box of tissues would be nice. We were offered to use the shower block being built for the new section but it was a 200m walk in the cold and the girls didn't like the paint smell. The kitchen is ok but very rustic. Spider webs and leaves on the floor rather than rustic chic. No hot water in kitchen so hard to wash dishes when the kettle takes 15 mins to boil. We ended up leaving a load of dishes because we didn't feel we could leave them hygienically clean. Not sure how they do. The hammock was mouldy and ripped which was very disappointing to our girls. The new site looks nice with the pool etc. Overall it was ok but not very glam. The photos of the tent interiors are true but the rest of the photos weren't very representative. It wouldn't take much to make it nice.

Absolutely amazing
Absolutely amazing! We spent 3 nights over the long weekend and we had the best time. Suzannah is a fantastic host, let us check in early, and came down to meet us and show us around the site, and was super quick to respond to messages if we had an issues. We can't recommend Boho Cartel highly enough and will definitely be booking again.

Comfort in nature 🍃😌
Our 2 nights stay was amazing. Comfort in nature. Suzannah was such a lovely host and very attentive when we needed something (gas change, making us cheese platter and just anything in general). I would definitely come back here if I want to get away from the busy city life or if I need a break to relax my body and soul. Kitchen, shower and toilet are always stocked. Beddings and bed are so comfortable. Just loved everything about this little cute gem 🤍

Really lovely spot with everything we needed on hand. A couple of things took some working out but the owners were super helpful and so quick to come down to assist us. Loved our stay, just sad we didn’t get to meet the new puppy! Thanks Susie and Lee 🥰
