Site 1 - Cailleach Farm on the River
We really enjoyed our stay on Lynettes land. Well maintained, flat area with lots of beautiful gumtrees right beside a river.
We arrived late to a lit fire which was a much appreciated touch. Cooked our dinner shortly after arrival, over flames on the swing arm provided.
The hosts were so welcoming, providing additional chopped firewood when they realised we didn’t have much of our own, full of information and willing to help with any request.
While sitting around the fire pit at night time we were visited by lots of wildlife including a Tawny Frogmouth who perched on the tree closest to us.
The only downside was the mosquitos. No fault of the owners, just come prepared with plenty of insect repellent.
Will stay again.

Site 1 - Cailleach Farm on the River
Place to relax & base to explore
I spent a few nights tent camping on this great level campsite on the hard river bank. Even through they had a loit of rain leading up to my stay and a lot of the ground was soft, the tent site was great and the whole place is well mowed and maintained. Hosts communication is awesome. The firewood (supplied for a very reasonable fee) and fixed firepit made for a really easy campfire. They already had it going for me when I got there.
This site is great for sitting and relaxing (like I did). but it's close enough to the highway to use as a base for local exploring if you were looking for an alternative to the more crowded campsites around Diamond Head, etc. Following the hosts advice, I took the easy firetrail through to the National Park on my way home and walked up Diamond head for some really stunning views before looping back to the higway further north.

Quiet riverside camp.
Quaint riverside site, lovely grassy area, large fire pit, birdlife and dogs off leash. Hosts very helpful and super easy to deal with, we booked last minute and they still had a fire ready for our arrival.

Excellent hosts and a great spot to unwind. Large open shaded areas with no catheads or bindis.
Arrived just after sunset and arrived to a fire crackling away which was appreciated.
We will be back soon.

Relax by the river one with nature
One of the best properties we have camped on with our caravan, the host could not do enough for you when you arrive and then gives you the privacy you seek for a relaxing stay by the river.

Amazing River Camping
Luke and Lynette were great cost and more than accommodating. They were great to chat to and provided a great supply of fire wood and allowed us to use water to wash sea toys and rip into water sports on the lake. The spot has amazing grass with more than enough space and a quality fire pit with hot plate. The boat ramp was a track into the river and perfect for a small boat or JetSki and got plenty of use. Will definitely be back to visit again.
